I went on a Saturday afternoon, the owners were the only servers there -- so the service was on the slower end but still efficient. If you like to enjoy your glass of wine, the waiting time for your entree and apps will mean nothing to you.
The wine and lunch/dinner menu is pretty extensive; you'll have a lot to choose from. I definitely recommend the baked brie for an appetizer. Before or after you finish dining you can shop in the actual wine gallery located in the restaurant.
Also, if you check-in on yelp you'll receive 15% of an appetizer. The restaurant is very spacious and inviting. Try this place out!
Eclectic menu and a nice mix of wine flights, but the service leaves a fair amount to be desired. The Magenta flight was fantastic, and the fact that the entire wine menu was sorted in groups of three wine flights was well appreciated. Â However, spacing of tables and attention of the staff was well below par for a place that should pride themselves on the comfort of the guests.
Review Source:I went there this past Christmas. I am just going to get down to it, this is the food that I experienced:
1. Crab Dip- There may have been "some" crab in there, but it was more consistent of a cheese dip.
2. The Scottish Salmon Salad- The description said "field greens", I had a bowl full of iceberg (mainly the husky bottom part). The salmon, well, nothing too special.
3. Salmon Cakes- Burnt, totally burnt.
So, after all of this I had enough and asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came over, he offered me this gem, "Well, other people have ordered it and liked it." My response to him was, "They are burnt, my salad (which wasn't finished) was nothing like it was described". He then just stood there. He simply said nothing. Finally he asked me if I wanted anything else and I said no. He removed that item from my bill and I went to Jay's Seafood instead to enjoy a great dinner and a solid drink.
Also, if you don't want to drink wine, good luck with getting anything else. Also, the drinks may as well be shots. They are EXTREMELY small.
Another note: I have heard that they do not have a full kitchen, so you may want to check into that as well. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
