Cook Out Restaurant

Food is good if you're looking for a quick burger & fries or whatever.  They got the crinkle cut fries, love those. The building is only a drive-thru, no sit down restaurant.  It has a drive-thru lane on each side though, and a sign when pulling in that says "for faster service go to the shorter line".  So instinctively, I did.  Well that day the shorter line was on the left side, and I was by myself.  With the building being on my right at this point, when I drove up to pay, I had to get out of the car and walk around to the window.  I felt kinda silly doing that.  I wasn't thinking about my access to the window, I was just thinking I wanted to get in and out and go to the shorter line.  No big deal, whatever.

I also feel the menu is very cumbersome.  It's not like other fast food places where you can review the menu before getting up to the speaker so you can be ready to tell them what you want.  The minute you're at the menu, you better be ready to order.  And the menu is just a giant jumble, hard to decipher what's what and order quickly.  Originally being from NJ, I've never really heard of Cook-Out before until we started our move to NC so I was unfamiliar with their menu, and felt put on the spot when they asked what I wanted and I had no idea what they sold, aside from burgers and dogs and fries.  

I do enjoy their food though, and I know they have other locations that are sit down.  So I figure I'll hit up one of those locations or just check their website before I head over there so I'm prepared to order.
