I just happened to stop in here last night because I heard there was a band playing. We only caught the last half quarter of their show, but it was AMAZING!!! They were the A bit of 'Grass' and they play their every Friday night!!!! No cover. They're a bit grassy and bluesy, but also do a little bit of classic rock. I want to go back there next Friday night.
I can't speak to the prices this time because I was amazed by the performance and my boyfriend bought the beers. However, next time I definitely want to get this appetizer the people next to us purchased that had cheese, crackers, olives, and grapes. They were kind and gave me the rest of the olives and I seriously downed them! So good!!
We had another fantastic meal and experience last night at the Corner Wine Bar. If you haven't been to this old standby in a while, I would urge you to strongly check it out. The menu is great, the food is wonderful, and there is a great wine, beer and spirits list. Lots of options of drinks, and not all sweet...Lots of sour and bitter options too! They usually have martini or wine specials as well. You can now eat at the Wellington (same food) which is now of course, smoke free. Both rooms, and including the downstairs - are cozy and warm... So perfect on a chilly evening. Highly recommended. ( i.e. if you don't get this, you are making a HUGE mistake) the Goddess Wedge, chickpea appetizer, beef bourguignon, salmon and lentils.... top it off with a delicious chocolate mousse... Hey, if you go on certain nights, you might even get to see Andra Faye, Scott Ballantine, or Jeff Ayers and other fab pals to watch while you are enjoying your meal.
