Holly was playing a gig here, and as the official photographer, I tagged along.  I wasn't quite sure what to expect, as I'm a bit older than the typical  10PM Saturday night Broad Ripple crowd, so I came fully prepared to feel totally out of place.
It was a pleasant surprise.  The staff was very friendly without being overbearing, and  the crowd was older than I anticipated.  Maybe it was the bands that were playing this particular Friday night, but I felt right at home.
I'm not an alcohol drinker, but just from watching, it appeared the bartenders knew their stuff. Â They were friendly to everyone, and I had a chance to chat with the doorman for a while, a very funny and friendly guy.
I understand there is a dance club downstairs, but I didn't go to check it out. Â But the live music room upstairs, and the upstairs bar, I wouldn't hesitate to come back to. Â A positive experience.
You will turn into a hot, sweaty, disgusting mess dancing downstairs here. Forewarned is forearmed. Â The bathrooms are nasty too.
But I have discovered the best thing about Peppers, and I'm sharing it with you, Yelpers, because I love you.
$0.25 drinks on Thursdays.
Let that digest for a moment. Â That's ALL drinks. Â Yup.
The cover is $10 for that night, but it's soooooo worth it. Â You feel like a baller buying round after round for everyone. Â This is where you want to be to basically get TOTALLY TRASHED. Â Not that I'm advocating, just advising.
