While my wife and I only stopped in for a drink and dessert to scope out the place; we were very pleased. Â We sat in the bar area at a high top table, and received our menus. Â First big plus: the prices for the cocktails are listed! Â I had the Mojito, and my wife had a Pisco Sour. Â The mojito was not my taste, as it was too sugary without enough mint or lime, however everyone has different preferences. Â Her Pisco Sour was very good.
We had the Plantain Bake for dessert. Â It was tasty with walnuts, raisins, and sweet, fried plantains. Â Unique and good. Â It has a 'Nilla Wafer type crumble on top, but it is not covered in butter, so the dish (feels) surprising light.
As a nearby resident you can feel pride in the area as you sit inside a great new spot, looking across the street at a recently refreshed old favorite. (as long as you forget the earlier neighborhood infighting that delayed the opening of Delica for so long).
