Kincaid's Meat Market

Love this place, it has pretty much anything you could ever want. Always great quality, but you'll pay for it.

Disclaimer: I've only been to Kincaids once.

However, the one experience was great enough to give it 5 stars.

There were a lot of people in line, but Kincaids helped me very quickly and answered all of my questions. I told them how many people I was trying to feed, and they quickly helped me select the right sized cuts of meat. They have information about how to cook everything and everyone was very friendly.

I will be back.

Ah yes, the butcher.  When you first think of it, going to a specialty butcher may seem intimidating, but alas, once you enter the world of shanks, ribs, and legs, everything is much more interesting and too often, more satisfactory in taste.  In many ways, going to a local butcher takes the guessing out of what you're buying and gives you a better appreciation for what goes into providing meat dishes on our tables.  Kincaid's on Illinois  is that very place and a cut about the rest, no doubt about it.    

This is the quintessential corner butcher - great cuts of  locally sourced meat products, competitive prices, and a staff that is very knowledgeable and eager to help you.  The friendly butchers will assist you in making educated decisions on what cuts to buy and even help you trim and prepare your selection, if you so wish.  Their selection is extensive and offer many cuts that the Kroger or Marsh simply don't have.  They also sell bison, fish, and some great wild game too.

Kinkaid's Meat Market is really a neighborhood gem and I will keep giving them my business for offering such great products and friendly service.  Check 'em out!
