Free admission into a sports bar. Â And in Broad Ripple. Â Of course, be sure to bring your identification. Â Fire pit near the entry. Â Over 15 big screen TVs showing many different sports. Â
Beware of the parking meters in the front but I found free street parking. Â Save that change for the pool tables.
Oh, I went there to see Pub Theology. Â Random act of kindness theme. Â They put on a form of The Bachelorette (in light of the love month). Â What a show!
Old Pro's Table (OPT's) was the first bar I went to in Broad Ripple, so it has always been a sentimental favorite of mine. Â However, much has happen in the 10 years since my first visit. Â Two different presidents, three different governors, Angelina Jolie going from being psycho with Billy Bob Thorton to breaking up Brad and Jennifer to becoming "Bradgelina"...man, how time flies! Â
Where was I? Â Oh yeah, 10 years has passed and like many things, my tastes have changed. Â My watering holes of choice are less like the college bars of my youth, and more "adult". Â However, no matter how old I should age, Old Pro's Table will always be a favorite. Â
Like others have commented, OPT's has pool tables, Golden Tee, the boxing bag game thing that I have never known the name of, and pretty decent drink specials. Â If you ask me, OPT's true "x factor" is the fireplace! Â Where else can you run the risk of being set ablaze by an open indoor fire pit?!?!.
If you're a visitor to Broad Ripple, and are under the age of 25, you'll LOVE this bar. Â If you're older, I can make no promises but I still recommend stopping by.
