Frankenstein would approve this fusion taqueria joint mixed with Pan-American influences. I really like the concept where you can get tacos and 'real-fruit' bubble tea smoothies all in one place.
When you step foot inside, the neon painted walls can brighten up the gloomiest days. There are no chairs to be found, just a lot of countertop to devour your chow and leave afterwards. The sweet lady behind the counter noticed it was our first time, but was very friendly while we were ordering up a storm.
Rundown of what we had:
+ red braised pork carnitas taco: well seasoned succulent pork with cilantro, onions, and a splash of avocado cream sauce. definitely a winner!
+ crispy shrimp taco: it's like sweet and sour shrimp from Panda Express stuffed into a taco. not my type of flavor unless you like heavily glazed Asian meats. Yucko.
+ the special: barbacoa taco: this should be on the daily menu. thinly sliced flavorful steak topped with avocado cream and the cilantro/onion fixins'. can't ever go wrong with avocado on anything!
+ classic mole poblano loaded sweet potato fries: good, but not great. portion a tad small. fries were a little on the soggy side. lacked flavor and a bit salty. I'd eat it if I had a few too many drinks nearby.
+ mango, pineapple, honeydew bubble tea w/ mini pearls & grass jelly: weird combination, but it works. Mini pearls are the tiny tapioca pearls you find in your pudding cups. Grass jelly does not taste like your front lawn - it's a type of herb with a slight bitter taste. Cool and refreshing like mint.
+ mango, papaya bubble tea w/ mini pearls & almond jelly: if you mix everything everything orange, it should be okay. My favorite combination.
I'd stop by here anytime for some gourmet tacos well worth the $3/each. For days I wasn't feeling Starbucks, I'd grab a grande sized bubble tea. If my skinny jeans weren't busting at the seams - I'd get a Mexican hot chocolate and a tres leche flan to-go.
Okay Boggie burger has moved, but left in its place a great taco place.
Warning there is no place to sit. but loads of counter space to place your food on.
The inside  is very colorful, with i chalk board that you can order from.
Now on to the food.
Wow oh wow some of the best tacos, I have ever had. :)
To start I had the Chicken Tamarind-cumin. This was marinated with sweet peanut chile de arbol salsa. A mouthful to say, but so much worth it.
Second was the other chicken one on the menu.
All in all i have to say the food is really worth the trip, the food is ready pretty quickly.
I'm used to authentic Mexican food, and I struggle to find it in the Broad Ripple area. La Chinita is definitely authentic, but with a nice twist that's almost unnoticeable. Also have wonderful homemade Horchata, and Lety and her family are  wonderful people! A bit pricey on the per taco side, as there's not a ton there, but still a cool place to grab a bite.
