From a real cajun...had a nice cold Shiner and fried Crawfish tails. Good beer, bad tails. Over-breaded tails with thick, tasteless cornmeal (see frozen okra and hush puppies) that was used to protect tails from freezer burn. This dish is goes from bad to inedible with the smoky barbeque sauce dip. Crawfish is not complemented by bottled anything. A fresh made roumalade would take this dish from 0 to 2. Sorry. It's that bad. Fresh Louisiana crawfish, not chinese bugs, are the only choice. Go fresh or go home. Do not freeze fresh food and serve it in any restaurant.
Review Source:I have eaten here 3 times and have had great food each time. However, it is about as cajun as Jazz on 19th is. --But I also think they do right to advertise as a sports bar with a New Orleans theme than a cajun restaurant per se. I have really enjoyed their (sorry I don't see a menu!) Jack Daniels shrimp on garlic toast (man!) and RB&Rice and anything else I have had. Older crowd for the beer post-HH. Each time I go, there always seems to be some random couple who has brought their 6 year old to run among the barstools in the restaurant as the couple drinks with their friends. The patio is nice, would be better if there was a playa lake right outside instead of MarketStreet/gas station. But it is a good time and I have never had a bad meal there.
