Reputation, reputation, reputation.  Whether it's the billiard room where you can rent tables for about $3.50/hr or the retail store where you can buy anything from darts and dart cases to pool cues and pool tables, they have a good reputable selection and service.  The person who installs and sets up their pool tables is rumored to be one of the best in the entire country, having traveled around teaching others how to install pool tables.  They carry quality products and know what they're talking about.  If you're buying a cue, you can take it out into the pool room to try it out before buying it.

If you just need your pool cue serviced, they do that, too.  I have gone here regularly to have pool cue tips replace for only about $10, and it's often ready in a couple days.  They have even rushed the service for me when I needed it done in a hurry.
