worst experience ever. i cant believe we even had a server? never came around to see how we were, never came to fill up our waters... my pina colada had little alcohol in it and our drinks took FOREVER to come out, even though we were the ONLY table there at 5PM on a saturday. I have never had an experience like this.
Review Source:After reading reviews of this restaurant which wereon polarends of the spectrum; I had to know where I stood. Cuernavaca was empty of patrons upon entering, though that wasn't extremely disconcernin,  as it was awfully cold. The place was clean and we were greeted by the hostess/server right away. The three offered salsas were all very good; the creamy one (finely chopped jalapeño, ranch and mayonnaise) was pretty amazing; it was the first time I' d ever experienced it. Truth be told the chips were a combination of not fresh and stale. The margaritas were a delicious mixture of salty sweetness and absolutely massive. The size matched the hype; I was told mine was as big as my head...and I have no peanut head. Unfortunately, I think it was a better suited beverage for an AA reunion because it was seemed to be a virgin beverage. After drinking the entire margarita I couldn't detect a lick of tequila. Very shortly after ordering entrees, a soup was brought to the table, which was pleasant surprise. It was a combination of a dark, but tasty stock, carrots, potoatoes...and burned elbow macaroni noodles. Well to be fair, some noodles were white, but most had a distinct black char; though odd they didn't have a crispy burned texture.I did enjoy and finish my soup. I chose the combination platter for my entree; which wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Alll contents on the plate were served a little warmer than room temperature. The meal reminded me of when I heat up leftover tacos the morning after a late night....not as savory or memorable as the night before, but gets the job done. I think I'd rather try another restaurant before returning. Overall , it good suggestion from the guy I met on Craigslist....the server was attentive and the food was decent.
Review Source:Two stars only because the art work was nice and the waitress was nice. Do not eat there or drink the margarita. My friend and I split a pitcher of Margarita which filled 6 glasses. By the end neither of us could taste or feel any alcohol. It tasted like salty, sweet lime water! On top of that I got food poisoning from eating there. Do not go for food! Go for the art and maybe a beer. I'll probably never return due to the food poisoning.
