D'Antigua Lounge

I've been to D'Antigua twice to see cumbia villera bands and I was not impressed. Aside from the band, there was really nothing else about this place that was interesting. It has an odd "dive bar" feel with a dance floor in the middle and a stage (?). It's very dark inside and the DJs I've seen there aren't very good. There are so many other lounges/clubs on Northern Boulevard and I'd say it's safe to pass this one up for something else.

This place has no identity.  Is it a lounge? I'd it a restaurant?  It started out as a restaurant, still is I guess.  But it looks like  they turn it into a Nite Club art night.  Whatever it is it doesn't look inviting either way.  It's trying to be everything to everyone but succeeding at none.
The place decor is tackey, Worn out, and dark and Dungeony.  I would never even consider ordering anything from there.  Have a beer yes, eat no.  late night live music and beer ok.  Hipster definitely not.  
Staff is attentive and friendly.
With all that being said.  There are only a couple of places on Northern Blvd that ever get really busy.  I've never seen this place busy,  rock band our not.  Grade pending for a place that had been around for a while is suspect.
Anyway that's just my opinion,  from an old fart.  I'll stick to my Irish pubs and $3-$4
ice cold beer on tap.

I love the decor of this place! it has funky paintings from local artist that you can buy if your interested. they have big booths and couches for just lounging around and have a cocktail or even some coffee if you like. They play a a lot of spanish rock music which is fun! The have Karaoke some nights and live music on the weekends. They serve great food if your looking for a bite or a full meal. The drinks are inexpensive and the people are friendly and locals so they are cool! I love the lamp that is near the restrooms, It is a female mannequin with  a lamp on its head its pretty funky and fun. Great place for groups or even an intimate date.
