I have taken my wife to the Arcadia location, as well as to the Ontario one, and we had a great time at both, on all occasions with one exception: Â The most recent visit to the Arcadia location, started off with a TSA-style metal detector and pat down, and I had to take my shirt off to prove I had no weapons. Â Albeit I hold a valid concealed carry permit, Â I had no weapon other than my old boy scout pocket knife, which I had to trudge back to the parking lot to leave in my car. Â I don't find it in the least bit necessary to prohibit a business-dressed couple in their mid-40s from having a 2 inch boy scout knife in a restaurant. Â After all, there will be six-inch steak knives all over the place, for crying out loud. Â
With that rant aside, Â I will say that after the rousting, Â We had an excellent dinner and fun time at the games! We are on our way again tonight as I write this, and hopefully we will find the door security personnel more likely to be following the spirit of the rules above the letter of the rules.

This is the spot when I need the kids to burn off energy. Fortunately this took over Chuck E Cheese because of the prizes and games. Even though its a bit away, its worth the drive. Come here on Wednesdays (half off on all games) and to enjoy a drink. Never had a problem with any staff and receive great service each time we go!
Review Source:Visited last night with my partner before catching a movie. It was my first time to a Dave and Busters.
It was not busy, our waiter seemed to be in a hurry. After taking my drink order he took off without taking my partners. The starter we ordered was okay, then one dinner item arrived without the other. 10 mins later our waiter came by to ask how things were and we asked where our other dinner item was and could my partner order a drink. The drink showed up and then I was told part of my food fell on the floor and it would be a bit more. My dinner arrived just as my partner finished his.
When we received the bill and complained, the waiter walked away!!
I myself will probably not go back.
First time being here in years. Meet up for TNT (team in training) leukemia/lymphoma society gathering. Ate, drank and played games. Great group of people who dedicate so much of their time to help others :-) They accepted me in so quickly after I was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma a few months ago.
Review Source:This D&B is pretty sweet. there are some games where the card reader doesnt work, but somehow still takes your money.. so i lost a couple of game plays but eh, the food is amazing, i love their peppercorn sirloin steak! amazingness in my mouth! our waitress wasn't the greatest, Â if it wasn't for my girlfriend checking the check, we would've been charged for drinks that we didn't order and i had to reach around a friend for my beer because our waitress didnt want to walk around to come to me. so thats why a pretty low rating, but! other than that, pretty sweet place.
Review Source:Fix your damn machines man. We spent like a good 15 minutes trying to figure out how to put money into our cards. We spent another good 10 minutes to trying find someone to help us and they did by telling us the machines weren't working. Â Spent even more time looking for games to play but most of them were broken too. And what's up with the decimal credits? Why can't it just be 6.0 credits flat to play a game but instead 6.2 or some random number.
Blah. And your Tom Collins there blows. Couldn't even taste the gin.
Customer Service is really horrible here!! Someone needs to teach CHRIS COLEY how to speak in a polite manner. I have never encountered such a rude general manager in my life!
So my friends and I use to go to Dave and Busters alot and we would spend hella money and win a good amount of tickets. So over the course of a few years, I've manage to accumulate alot of tickets. I finally tried to redeem about 5,000+ tickets but the manager and general manager wouldn't let me. They said that the tickets weren't "marked". WTF?!? They said it meant that the machines mark the tickets. So what happens when the machines are broken and they pull out the tickets from the machines? How are they suppose to mark those?!?! In the end, I wasn't able to get my tickets redeems or even get compensated.
My friends and I usually spend more than a couple hundred dollars a night drinking and playing games here. Imagine how much money they made off us.. Â NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
Their food looked amazing and what we got was. There drinks were also good. They had a lot of tvs playing different sports. They had an upstairs patio(which I didn't check out) and an arcade.
The only thing I didn't like was the price to play and the fact that you had to buy play cards. Which I feel suckers you into buying more than you need/want.
i frequent this D&B the most out of chains...its pretty good size..i like the upstairs bar/restaurant with open top...food is decent bar food...never really had a dinner entree though...
the games gotten quite expensive over the years hasnt it? and my ability to win a ticket has been diminishing? has it gotten harder or am i getting too old to this *ish??? I'm horrible at keeping the tickets too and end up losing it before i ever reclaim anything...even if u put it on your card i end up losing the card too..
cool happy hours....fun place to chill...dont need to get all dressed up here like a fancy bar in La...
its convenient inside the santa anita mall...next to the amc...so its something to do either before or after a movie!!!
Coming here to eat and your a vegetarian (don't think about it)
When to the dark side and had  the Shrimp Build Your Own Soft Tacos
Tender shrimp served with crisp lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheddar cheese, fresh-made guacamole and warm soft tortillas. Served with a side of spicy rice and black beans.
Spicy rice = spicy so yummy!!
Huge portion couldn't even eat it all. And great price with decent taste.
For drinks I had the Mango Cooler
A vibrant and refreshing blend of ABSOLUT® MANGO vodka, peach puree, orange juice and a splash of club soda.
OHHHH so refreshing and delish. I'm a huge fan of mango so thats a def win!
Overall food was ok nothing to brag about comparable to a TGI Friday's or a Chilli's
BUT THE BEST PART!!!!!
The games!!!!!
Having a drink or two and engaging in classic arcade games is amazing!! The trivia game, Deal or No Deal, Fast and the Furious were some of my favs. The boyfriend and I had a great time acting like lil kids ^_^.

Late Night Happy Hour  specials on cocktails, beer and wine in the wee hrs
First time at Dave N Busters tonight. The ads make this place seem so much more bright, lively and epic than it really is.
The games are a rip.
The food is a rip (and mediocre at best).
The drinks... well, you should just get a beer. I ordered a mixed drink and finished it in about a minute. My friends were looking at me like I was THE MAN... then I explained that my Vodka-Redbull was just Redbull... no Vodka...
Half the place was "Under Construction" and half the machines were "Out of Service."
There's a metal detector and the guards follow you around, like you're a convict in the state prison system.
Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. Chuck E Cheese serves beer and is cheaper.
I use to come here years ago. Last night was the first time returning to celebrate a birthday. Oh boy has this place gone down!
First off I had to walk through a metal detector which was monitored by the sheriffs. Even though the metal detector is suppose to reassure and provide a sense of safety for me, it makes me wonder why that is even needed in the first place? I mean, I'm going into a grown up Chuck E. Cheese...
Then there was the interior...A lot of things were "under construction". Not sure what they're doing but looks tacky.
The food has always been below average. The booze are a bit pricey. Large screen TVs everywhere, so you can catch all the games. However don't expect to hear anything since the music is blasting.
Would not go out of my way to come here again.
Really Good Food. Â I had a great time sitting at the bar and watching the game. Â The plus for me was the Eat and Play combo. Â I was advised by the lovely bartender that I should look into the eat and play combo as a winning option for a Saturday afternoon. Â I took her suggestion and followed with a "Swish". I had so much fun playing the games and socializing with friends. Â I will definitely make my way back to D&B soon.
Review Source:I just love bringing my family here. We've been to lots of different locations across the country and this franchise is great! This location did have some friendly staff on the gaming floor and was not a bad place to be, however you can definitely see it's probably one of the older locations. The escalator to heaven aka the upstairs bar was kinda cool for some stupid reason but hey, don't judge. I'm sure we'll be back eventually but no rush.
Review Source:Having a bad day? This is the best place to go. Grab a few friends and head over here for all night of drinks and arcade games. I went here with my boy friend and a few friends a few weeks ago and we all had a great time. They have a very big selection of games. Everything is at reasonable prices. I had the food here once and I didn't like it much but who needs food you have a full bar and a bunch of games. Good enough. t
Took me a long time but finally won 16k tickets and we got my boy friend a electric guitar that he loves and plays every single day! They offer great prizes unlike chucky cheeses they have a better selection of prizes to pick from.
I've been here many times but this a review on my last two experiences here at the bar while eating.
I have to say that we went twice on the weekends on non-busy times so it's a bit alarming that it wasn't a isolated incident. I'm giving this place a generous 2 star.
I don't want just give this place a bad rating for no reason as I know these people work hard but at some point, the management needs to step it up. I'd like to say that we were pretty nice about it... But here goes:
1. Â We sat down. The bartender gave my friends the two drinks pretty quick. My soda took about 10 minutes when the fountain is right in front of us. She obviously forgot. I asked her nicely "When you have a chance, can you check on my soda for me please. I also wanted to put in a order"
2. Two people came. She went to finish a drink for another customer. No problem. Didn't get my drink yet. So they took their order and they got their soda right away. Umm.. okay?
3. She comes over, give me the soda. I ask her if I can place a order, she says give her a sec. So there's a few others around where after about 10 minutes, I ask another bartender who's really nice to help me out.
4. I put in my order with another guy who was free. I ordered a sandwich with a side a ranch, sweet potato frees, and hot wings with bones and ranch.
5. Took a reminder and 40 minutes later we get our order.
6. The crap is wrong! We get boneless wings, blue cheese sauce, no extra ranch for me and regular fries.
7. Â I sit there for awhile and nicely tell her the mistake. I saw the fries will be fine but can you fix our wings. So she then can't even find our bill. (We find out a hr later, someone paid for it by mistake as it was billed to them).
8. She takes away the wings and trash it. At this point, she has to know the service has been pretty bad. Now, they weren't understaffed. I saw multiple people come by, talk and chit chat, get drinks etc.
9. I ask a waitress for a side of ranch. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes for it. Now, get this. I can finish my meal that quick... come on!
10. Â Order came.. no ranch.. asked for it again!
11. So we finally get our food again, I had to get ketchup myself from another table.
Ranch must be something of a rare cause there.
This entire process took 2 hours. I still gave her the appropriate tip. Oh well, people still work hard for their money.
Some buddies of mine took me out to Dave & Buster's recently. We had a night of fun with lots of drinks. We ordered a bunch drinks such at the TNT and the Goose Tonics.
The games were awesome as well. Although it felt the games were a little expensive.
It's a little hard to tell because when you load up your card, you just spend whe you swipe your card at the game stations.
Overall it was a blast.
Wednesday night is the best time to come. Half off all games!
I ordered the power play combo that comes with a meal and a game card. The philly cheesesteak had plenty of meat and flavor. It certainly didn't blow my mind but it was everything I expected of a cheesesteak sandwich. The fries it came with were done just right. Not too soft, not too crisp.
Food like TGIFridays, but not in a bad way.
They have a nice selection of burgers, salads, pastas, etc. Â
All made in that sort of corporate, generic, over-flavored, still sometimes you kinda-want-it-anyways type of food. Â You know.
I had a pasta with steak, shrimp and lobster sauce (see, like TGIFridays, but not in a bad way). Â I asked for the steak mid-rare....bingo, mid-rare. Â The flavor of the meat was lacking, the pasta was covered in too much goo to tell if it was cooked well, but I think it was fine. Â The shrimp were good, and the sauce I am sure had enough butter in it to supply a theater chain...that being said, I ate very bite.
The service was tops, very friendly and helpful as it was my first time there. Â I asked about the games, the prices, the seating, all questions they probably get everyday, but they answered them politely and without attitude. Â Thanks for that!
I then went to play some games. Â They have quite a few. Â Not really a lot of joystick games anymore, mostly Time Crisis, and House of the Dead kind of games. Â Though they have a fairly large selection of the coin operated, ticket dispensing competitive/chance games which are super fun.
All in all, I plan to go back and enjoy myself again.
A grown-up Chuck E. Cheese?! Â Why would that be a bad thing!
My son loves this place. Â I like this place except sometimes the service is kinda slow. Â but good menu - love the chicken tacos here or the sliders/wings. Â Full bar, booths on the gaming floor are great to sit at. Â
Great combo deals with a gaming card. Â Lots of new games. Â good mix of shooting and non-shooting games (I prefer my son playing the non shooting type games). Â
TVs in the bar area to catch a laker or clipper game on. Â Nice bartenders. Â Great billards area for a private event or party. Â
Good crowd mix of couples, singles and families. Â
Damn those prizes cost so many tickets.....but the son loves to play the games for the prizes...great place as Dad can have a beer while watching him play. Â Drink responsively. Â Especially with kids around yo....
Pictures are deceiving, and even though the waiter says they are great portions, they aren't, its like kid meals size, ok maybe that was a huge exaggeration but don't think you are going to be filled up with just once plate, order an appetizer too. Actually I recommend to just order whatever is on the appetizers, probably safer.
I ordered the Black Jack BBQ Chicken, comes with mash potatoes and some broccoli, Â it says veggies...but it is just steamed broccoli. The mash potatoes were pretty decent, the chicken was cooked nicely, but I recall it saying bbq made with jack daniels, I was wondering if it was going to have a nice spice to it, nope, it tasted like plain old bbq you get at the supermarket.
This review is based solely on the food, service was good, and d&b is your typical adult chuckee cheese.
"I usually have little to complain about when it come to D & B. Been a loyal customer since they opened in Arcadia, but their special events department needs improving. When you throw a Super Bowl party, and promote prize giveaways, then fail to deliver, or blame the third party you leased out the promotion to, it is unacceptable. It's your house!!! You should be in full awareness of the rules and protocol of said promotion. Â When you exclude a significant portion of your clientele from participating in receiving prizes, because you blame it on a technicality, is unacceptable(especially since my party had been there since 1pm).
I'm usually very pleased with my dining experience when I leave D & B, but tonight was not the case.
I love Dave&Busters! First time i went was a about 2 years ago. Went with my family, big group. We all got that deal, Eat&Play combo. The food in general is just eh. blah blah.. Im actually just writing this review because the most embarrassing/funniest incident happened. I got pegged with a air hockey puck right on my forehead!!!!!
super embarrassing, but luckily i was kinda buzzed from the Blue Moon and Jack and Coke i had ordered so I didn't make a big deal. But it was just out of nowhere (obviously) I was standing by the Doodle Jump game, so i was pretty far from the 4 way air hockey game. the puck pretty much flew over like a row of games!
I'm pretty sure it wasnt the first time this happened, but hey dave, put some glass walls up on that thing, man!
i did speak to the Manager as i was leaving just to let him know. I was just laughing about it but someone could get hurt so hopefully he'll take it to consideration.
We went here last week for a random date night. It was pretty fun. The service was excellent! Every single question that we had (no matter how stupid) they answered right away with a smile. We sat down to eat dinner and I was honestly surprised with how good the food was! My boyfriend got the teriyaki steak which he said was "awesome". I don't remember the name of what I had but it was a chicken and shrimp plate in a spinach cream sauce....I ate the WHOLE thing. Again we were shocked by how good the food was. Our server was perfect! She was very attentive and put our food order in as fast as possible. I just wish I could recall her name to give the proper credit she is due.... (So if you are reading this and it was you! You Rock!).
We each had a mixed drink. My boyfriend got something called the TNT...good lord I could smell it from across the table! (I was too scared to try it). I had a Berry Sweet Tea. Trust me...one of those will do you just fine! Props to the bar tender that night.
We ordered off this special menu that allowed you to get 100 free tickets and $10 free game credit included in the price of your meal. The game floor was pretty neat. I haven't been to an arcade in years! I don't know if it's because I haven't been to one in years but we had a blast playing all the games. We went on a Monday night so we didn't have to deal with all the children like other reviewers have stated. In fact the floor was hardly packed! The tickets for prizes were a little steep but they always seem to be that way at these kinds of places.
All and all...we will be going back :)
I used to come here multiple times a week to play my all time favorite game, Rapture Capture. I went soo much that they all recognized me and the bf every time we walked in. We no longer go though because they changed the game on us. Everyone was always super nice and super friendly. We used to just chill at the winners circle for an hour and talk to the people that worked there. The techs who would refill our tickets were also super friendly. ONCE in a while we would come on a night where the tech seemed to hate his job, and would hate us for asking him to change tickets because we ran out.
Dave and busters always has some sort of deal. We used to go when they had buy $50 worth of points no get a free movie ticket. They also would email us coupons for free appetizers or points. You can also fill out surveys on the bottom of your receipt to get free stuff. On Wednesdays, games were half off. I'm not sure if they're still doing that special...but it was definitely worth it. They also have meal deals where you get a free playing card if you order from select options. It's an alright deal if you were planning to eat there anyways. Food was mediocre...the only thing I liked were the fried shrimps. Prize selection was alright. We got a couple iPads...waiting on our ipad mini right now actually. (It takes a couple of weeks for it to arrive btw) We also got a ds, an iPod dock and lots of little stuff. If you don't have a lot of points, the prize selection might not be that great.
I miss coming here :( please change Rapture Capture back to how it was beforeee!!
We went there for happy hour to watch a Lakers game, which by the way, I have to admit that they have a good happy hour in the bar area, but a certain bartender nearly ruined our experience. Â He just seemed so miserable to be there and was "snappy" with people. Â Not just us, but I can overhear how he was talking to other customers and we can just read his body language that he was miserable or something. Â I mean, you go to a happy hour to be, well, Happy! Â But instead you have to deal with someone who seems to hate his job!
So in short, if you do go to this place and sit at the bar, try to get Nycole to help you out. Â She was really friendly and took care of us when "Mr. Snappy" wasn't around.
My uncle wanted to go here for his 48th birthday and we had a ball!!!
Food - Everyone loved what they ordered and the service was very speedy. I had the shrimp alfredo in lobster sauce with medium-rare steak and it was fantastic. Since it was my uncle's birthday, the waiter brought out an assortment of marshmallows, strawberries, graham crackers, bananas, etc and a steaming hot bowl of chocolate  fondue. We were all stuffed to say the least.
Arcade - Holy cow there were so many fun games. It was like Chuck E. Cheese on crack without a bunch of screaming three year olds. We played everything (air hockey, driving games, trivia, horse racing, speed of light, the list goes on) and won a mountain of tickets. I am pretty sure the best thing we did was the photo booth with Austin Powers as our photographer. After posing like a bunch of tools for fifteen minutes, we had a ton of hilarious pictures.
Although it was a fairly pricey day, it was worth the money. We had a ton of laughs, great food, and so much fun! I just wish there was a D&B closer to where we live.
I went here with some friends last year and it was great, BUT the prices are a little overpriced. Also, this place doesn't give out a lot of coupons, BUT if you sign up for there rewards program you will receive a $10 FREE game play coupon!
I think of this place as a "casino for kids" but it's a "adult arcade", too!
PS: On Wednesdays all games are 1/2 priced... IF you want to play arcade games.
PRO's:
- arcade game selection
- prize selection
- MOST games are easy to get tickets... try Spin N Win and Big Bass Wheel, those games are WINNERS!!!
CON's:
- Games are pricey
- food selection
- prizes are HARD to win
Metal detectors at the door? Â I'm talking about the full-blown put-your-cellphone-in-the-tray and place-your-bag-on-the-table business. Â And a cover charge after 10pm on a weeknight? Â Yes, I know it's only $3, but this is a sleazy drunken arcade, not some kind of night club (not that night club covers will ever be that cheap unless it's in my dreams, but I digress)...
LOL, WHO ARE THESE GUYS KIDDING ANYWAY? Â If their intent was to make me laugh, then bravo, D&B... BRAVO.
Next, the Easter bunny will come out to perform a whackass dance while under the influence as Santa Claus tries to coax people onto his lap so he can surprise-poke them with a little present. Â If you're lucky, you might be able to catch an appearance of the Lochness monster playing hide-and-seek.
Come here before 10pm to avoid all this tomfoolery. Â Other than that, not a bad place to run around drunk while figuring out which game you can rig next for more tickets.
Oh, and drinks are 50% off during happy hour (4-7pm and 9:30pm-closing), so the cheap Asian in me rejoices.
