Sorry, but I had to drop a star based on my last Delancy encounterl...the chef must have been on vacation. The pasta was overcooked...thick & pasty & compromised by a tomato sauce  possibly seasoned with bottled garlic...the taste is undeniable, unacceptible & unspeakble. The meatballs that that came with the dish also  had that awful "garlic flavor". The hamburger was fine .....our wonderful waiter ,Guillermo, was willing to adjust the tab...we refused bec that's  not what we do. ....Instead he brought a wonderful strawberry shortcake on the house and  a creamy  topnotch cappucino....we will return because this spot has provided us with some fine meals in the past....hopefully they will get rid of the "bottled garlic" if that's what tainted their spaghetti & meatballs.
Review Source:First time customer. Â Do not live in Goshen, the place was recommended. Â We ordered a blackened chicken wrap with roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella and steak dinner with mashed and house salad. Â We also had bar drinks. Â The price was decent for both the dinners and drinks. Â Both dinners were very good, we had no complaints. Â There is a separate restaurant area apart from the bar with tables which is nice. Â We sat at a bar table which was just fine and the service was real good and attentive. Â This is a bar restaurant, the food was pretty good for this type of establishment. Â It was fresh and NOT greasy or fried to a crisp (thank the Lord). Â We really enjoyed the food. Â However, I am not comparing this to a totally kiss your rear, valet parking, $75.00 per plate dinner. Â This is a bar/restaurant, it is casual, it is friendly and it is pretty darn good. Â We will be back. Â Also I have to add our drinks were not skimped on, the glasses were actually full ....... yeah, not 1/2 full like you get at other places. Â Another plus :)
Review Source:I've been here several times over the years, and I've never had a good meal. Â This is the kind of restaurant that loves to cut corners where ever it can, using inferior ingredients, with mediocre service in a "stuffy" atmosphere at best. Â The bar area right next to the dining room is full of old men--some loud, some nursing their alcoholism. Â Every dish I've had--from chicken to burgers to cheesesteaks--had been underflavored and lacking in some other way, usually something relating to food prep (overspicing one ingredient, burning, etc.). Â The servers don't really want to be there, and it shows. Â They should change the name of the place to "Lousy's", as that would be much more fitting. Â It's a no brainer that these people would go on to start Jon Angelo's in Goshen: home of the worst pizza on the fucking planet. Â
If you're in town, go to Catherine's downstairs bar area or Kelley Jean's for similar fare that is actually done well. Â Or go here and see why I just wrote what I wrote and avoided this place like the plague even though I lived 3 minutes away.
Great food! Dining room separate from the bar area is quiet and open. Menu has a good variety ranging from steaks to fish to Italian. Portion are large. The new chef is top quality, NYC quality!
It's a hidden secret to many, since it's known for it's weekend bar scene. I had sea food diablo, filled with shrimp, clams, muscles, calamari and scallops over pasta. My wife had their chicken parm! Both were huge portions and left overs are the norm. Both dishes were very good! The next table had big juicey steaks.
We eat out a lot and I will be a return customer. Try it! Â You will not be disappointed.
ate here for a wedding rehearshal, and it was not bad at all. i'd go with ghetto fabulous. Â the staff was great, food (eggplant rollatini, penne ala vodka, and chicken franchaise) was all good enough for what it was. some people might be put off by the OTB at the bar (definitely on the ghetto side) but im not a classy guy, so that just added to the charm! Â all in all an enjoyable experience.
