Delta Sky Club is located in the S gate which required you to take the shuttle to get there. It's large and modernized with great lighting. Food include the standard Delta line up, which has veggie dips, cheese, hummus and your usual drinks and crackers/cookies. Well drinks are free as well. Personally, I prefer the Alaskan Board Room for the food selection and convenience, but of course, waiting in the lounge beats waiting at the gates.
Review Source:The new Sky Club is a vast improvement over the old one at Seatac, but for some reason I'm still not all that impressed. Â Maybe it's the travel snob in me peeking out, but I just wasn't all that thrilled with the atmosphere or amenities for a brand spankin' new elite lounge.
Granted, I was there for an early morning flight so they were still getting things set up for the day, so it may not have had its face on yet. Â But it kind of felt like they were trying to showcase the swanky new bar and workstations more than provide things like snacks and a comfortable environment. Â You know, like a lounge?
And as far as the bar goes, I much prefer pouring my own drinks, thank you very much. Â I don' t need you raising an eyebrow when I try to order up a triple bloody at 6:30am. Â What? Â A guy needs a little help sleeping on the plane sometimes. Â I'm sure I'm probably part of the reason they're moving away from self service booze in Sky Clubs around the country.
Anyway, a recent change of jobs means I probably won't be visiting this (or any) Sky Club again any time soon, but props to Delta for showing the S concourse a little love here in Seattle.
I'm weird in the way that I really don't mind airports (except LAX! - do NOT get me started on that one). I like sitting around, people watching and whatnot. Recently tho - after started flying only Delta - I've come to spend more time in especially two airports, Seattle-Tacoma and Shiphol. I will go back to my previous statement that I really don't mind airports, especially Seatac or Shiphol which both happens to be two of my favorite airports.
But here is the thing, after spending LONG layovers at both (mainly Seatac) I decided to change it up a bit, try something new. Since I fly Delta, and since I collect miles with Delta it made sense to get the day pass for the Delta lounge at Seatac Airport.
The day-pass was $39, was it worth it? I'm not sure.
Do they have more comfortable seats than by the actual gates? Well, yes they do. I don't know why but I thought that they would at least have some beds or something so that people with long layovers (like myself) could lay down and sleep. Sure, it's a really nice and calm place to hang out while waiting for flights but it was a rush here too.
I also felt like the person sitting behind the desk was maybe judging me? I'm not a business person, I don't travel in a dress or whatever. If I have three flights of 5 hours, 10 hours, and 2 hours, I am going to travel comfortable. I felt like he was looking at me like I was lost, not a pleasant feeling. I also got new boarding passes before my first flight so the ones I showed him didn't say day-pass on them. Shouldn't it be in the system? Like...idk....MY NAME or other information?? Hmm,
They do have free coffee and free breakfast items, I only had coffee and some yogurt, we'll see if by the time I leave this lounge I've had something else.
And maybe it's unfair of me to write this review after only being here for an hour but hey, first impressions are always important. Â So far, it's the most expensive cup of coffee I've ever had.
Didn't even make it inside. Some may see this review as unfair, but part of business is to make the customer feel welcome. I am not a member of Delta Sky Club, but I would've been willing to buy the $50 day pass just to have a place to kill time during my 8-hour layover. I travel first-class, but I also travel comfy... t-shirt, shorts & slippers. And I definitely feel like the receptionist (heavy-set lady with blonde hair) judged me by my look. She wouldn't give me answers about the Sky Club & told me to look up info on the website. That's shocking to me. The experience was just unpleasant & not-so-subtly insulting from a representative of Delta Sky Club who is hired to display the opposite. Massive fail.
Review Source:Shiny & new! Â This Sky Club has large bathrooms & nice quiet area. It's all brand new, so everything is super clean.
On par with other lounges, there isn't much real food, but they do have some snack type things. The bar here is staffed, so no self-serve bar for me (love to add Baileys after using the fancy coffee machines). That also makes it so you feel the need to tip for the "free" drinks... since I've paid a membership already, do I really need to tip on complimentary drinks? yes, because I feel guilty.
After trying out Alaska on the way out, I think theirs might be a tiny bit better-- but only because they have a bigger selection of food.
Very will hidden above the South Terminal concourse area is the $2M upgraded SkyClub which I was happy to visit. Finding this was the hardest part, as the SeaTac Airport commissioners do not believe "signage would be conducive to effective travel". There's a nearly unmarked elevator near Gate S9, (but not the bright Lounge place with the nice woman who says "you must be looking for Delta?"), but a little more toward Gate S10.
The layout:
Odd with lots of private desk-like working spots for a single traveling person to sit, but not as many places to sit with friends. No seating at the bar where the overhead TV's are. Guess they do not cater to sports fans.
The Food:
Not LAX/SLC/ATL/DFW/JFK or even close, but they offer a subset of what a larger SkyClub may have. A few more options than Honolulu but without the wonderful Honolulu staff.
Pluses: Excellent lemon cookies
Minuses: Selection
The service: After asking for a Supervisor, I was ticketed correctly. There were 3 Delta employees working the front desk and they seemed fairly inexperienced. Not sure what was going on. The bartender was really nice, but not a sportsfan which is probably why the lack of barstools :-)
All in all, I prefer Vino Vola in SeaTac
I've spend some time here and really like the decor. I reminds me of the Tokyo international lounge.  There was a particularly chatty bartender when I was here on my birthday recently  before a flight and he" comp'd" me a bunch of premium drinks. They also had a nice "snack buffet" with cheesy goodies and assortments of crackers, quiches, and mystery meats.  I can't remember much after that.....but seriously, this lounge is a HUGE upgrade from the other lounges except maybe Alaska's Boardroom which is lacking in decor but good nonetheless..
Review Source:For some reason, one of Michael's long time dreams has been to take me to Seattle Tacoma's Delta Sky Club. Â On this past trip he planed an early enough arrival time so we could haul a** between terminals and have a few free drinks before making our flight. Â I'm not sure if his fantasy was fulfilled but I'll tell you this one fell flat for me.
Yes the room is modern and light, but the bar is ALL cash, unless you want a Heineken at 9AM your SOL. Â What happened to the days of mimosas and bloody marys on the house? The wifi is free, but the munchies have a long way to go. Â So bad, I opted to make a purchase at an in terminal cafe. Â
If you're coming from far away lands you will be happy to know the bathroom is equipped with a shower room. Â So, come and refresh - just make sure to remember your toothbrush.
The staff at this Sky Club are very helpful and friendly, more here, than other Delta Sky Clubs.  It must be the water their drinking or that Seattle is the hub for the uber customer service experience (Nordstrom, Metropolitav Market, Vivace).  They recently  built the new club.  it's remarkable as facilities go and pretty close to their top ranked club in Detroit.
Review Source:Oww, first to write a review! :)
This location opened August 31, 2011 and let me tell you---I'm SO glad! There is a short elevator ride to the 'Roof Top Level" right above Gate S-9 and S-10.
As soon as you step off the lift, you are met with a bright, shiny new Sky Club. There is ample seating and outlets abound. The bar is complementary (unless you're feeling fancy and decide to order from the new top-self menu which cost $$) and is staffed--other Sky Clubs out there may be self-serve (e.g. LAX).
Check-in is a breeze and it is worth the price of admission to relax, go online, watch the satellite TV, sleep, eat all the snacks, have adult libations, shower(!) till your heart's content.
