There is nothing special about this place other than the size. It is pretty big, and a good place for beer pong events. BUT the food is "eh" at best, the beer selection is limited to cheap domestic and the typical imports, and the place is just plane filthy. If you look up Divey sports bar on google The Draft is the first thing to come up.

I like this place. The food is a little too expensive for what it is, but their drink prices are all right. 1st time I went they were doing a Laker game special with 2 for 1 drinks so you know you can't go wrong with that. Last time I went I was more about the food than drinking, but still got a pitcher of Bud for $13 if I'm not mistaken. I had a Philly Cheese Steak which actually didn't disappoint and it came with a large side of fries. I"ll be back. Hopefully during happy hour and see what else they have to offer.

OK. I have to write a review of this bar because the service was so bad.   See my full review and know that I have NOTHING against the bar, servers, owners, or anyone.   This was my first and only visit to this establishment while I was in LA;

ALSO NOTE: The pictures I added show the girl bartender texting (multiple times) while I (and many others) waited to get a drink or our check. She had her back turned on a full bar of patrons much of the night. Multiple times I saw her lazily take and enter orders on the computer (we're talking about a snails pace!!). It was amazing to witness and experience her complete disinterest in serving a full house during a packed UFC 162 event. She should have been "ringing the till" and "raking in the cash". The bar would clearly do better financially with a fast and attentive bartender!!!

The Good: The bar owners bought UFC 162 and allowed everyone in with no cover charge. The get SUPER PROPS for that effort. The bar itself is a good bar. We had fun (when we had a drink). Like other reviews state, this looks like a good place for a drink with multiple flat screen TVs and two big screens. You can see the fight (or any event) from anywhere in the bar. They also have a patio outside that was packed and looked like a lot of fun.

The BAD: I couldn't get any drinks!!! It took 10-15 minutes upon arriving just to get the bartenders attention (my girlfriend almost left). The service was AWFUL!! Again, I was there for UFC 162 (when Silva lost to Weidman...for you fans). The girl bartender couldn't have cared less that she had a PACKED FULL bar of thirsty patrons. The guy bar back only appeared once all night to help (at least he made a stronger cocktail). I was able to get only 2 drinks in 2-3 hours!!! It was just terrible attention and service but we couldn't leave in time to get to another bar. Yes, it was busy but that didn't matter in this case. The girl bartender just didn't care. She should have been pouring liquid cash for the owners with so many people at the bar. Instead, again, I saw her texting multiple times with her back to the bar. Clearly someone else was more important than a bar full of customers.

I would give the bar owners 3 stars just for buying the fight. However, it was really a 1 star effort due to the absurd service. The bar owners should have a chat with their staff.

I wouldn't recommend visiting the bar unless you are a regular and know what you are getting (and are OK with it).

I've been coming here for about 3 years and have watched as the standard and quality has dropped. This bar is in a great location and has all the main sport events. THE PROBLEMS are management, they try to run this bar like it's out of their garage, playing favorites and turning away good money. I honestly feel bad for the staff (bartenders and servers) because they are the ones suffering. In the 3 years I have watched the staff change numerous time, they have lost great servers and cute female staff. The "security" is a bunch of muscle heads who probably train in the gym 8 hours a week. As a former bouncer I can tell you, these idiots don't know how to bounce, they seem to like getting into shouting matches with the patrons. There are hundreds of better sports bars who want your patronage and money. Go there avoid this place unless you want some of the worst service ever!!

Perfect place to watch games and UFC fights with no cover charge. There is an inside as well as outside seating area. I prefer the outside especially midday in the summertime, especially since the inside is usually really dark. Plenty of TV's both inside and outside.

They have a full bar as well as a full menu.
HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the beef sliders.
They also have beer pong tournaments on the weekends.

The service is good, but not great. Then again, I usually come here when there is a sporting event on and it is fully packed, so you can't expect outstanding service. I think for the amount of people there, we got good service.

Definitely recommend coming here to watch a game. Keep in mind though, they have a very small parking lot which is usually always full. There is plenty of street parking but even this fills up two hours before any game, so come EARLY!

I wasn't expecting much based on the dingy exterior and the dark interior but appearances can be deceiving. The service was wonderful and my burger was fabulous! The sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had. I was there with a group of women, no one bothered us and we had a fun evening out.

Great place to have a pint unless there's a game on, and then be prepared to not be able to hear yourself think. Dial back that volume.

Best place to watch a Laker game. 1$ beers for Laker games. Really good food. Best Nachos and Fish Tacos! This place gets pretty packed on other nights too. Happy hours starts at 4-7 pm.

Seats and benches are very old and need replacement. Seems like they are held up by duct tape when you're sitting on them. Other than that its a great place to hang out to watch a game or get a cold one.

A very interesting and eclectic crowd gathered here the one and only visit I have made to this bar. I don't think I will return, did not really have much to offer. The bartender wasn't friendly at all and took people out of order from which they arrived at the bar. The beer pong patio might be the only reason I would go back. Nope I recant that statement, My fella has a table so I'll use that on the off chance that feeling ever arises.

Thank you Devon and Will for helping me deal with a crazed man who claimed to be affiliated with your establishment who called me twice harassing me to take my Yelp review down!

They were both immensely kind and helpful when I let them know a gentleman claiming to be part of their "corporate office" was DEMANDING I remove my Yelp review or he would keep harassing me.

So, here you go...as requested "Patton," here is your improved Yelp review!

During the week they have different events usually, I used to go there to play bingo, you can win free drinks for your team, free appetizers, and other stuff, all the proceeds go to charity, The food is really good, but a little over priced, and if your sitting outside in the covered patio, (where you can play beer pong and/or have beer pong tournaments) the service is pretty slow, so I would suggest going to the bar and ordering your drinks their. GREAT bartenders, and every night they have a different special. Their 3$ margaritas on margarita night are AMAZING. Its a very small parking lot, I would advise parking on the main street (Riverside) or on one of the neighborhood streets (across the street) that way you don't get blocked in and its easier when its time to leave. And as a side note, the outside covered patio is a smoking patio. a little tip for you smokers out there. Some nights you can even go dancing on the medium space they call a dance floor/ stage area. The bathrooms could be cleaner though, and half the time the toilets don't work properly, so I advise holding it in, unless u get lucky and find one that works. And the security / bouncer steve is a great guy. Being a woman I have been harassed by a few men there every once in a while, and he takes care of it asap, and makes sure everyone gets to their car safely (if your parked in the lot). so lets see.... OVERALL:

FOOD: 5 out of 10
WAITRESS SERVICE: 3 out of 10
BARTENDERS: 9 out of 10
DRINKS: (usually) 10 out of 10
Atmosphere: 9 out of 10 (most nights)

Service here is good when it isn't packed but if it is service sucks but I give the food 5 stars specially their wings yummmmmy! Drinks are reasonable prices and $1 beers during laker games but you do have to arrive early if you want a table. Chill dive bar.. Trivia night is fun and so is karoyoke

This review is for the happy hour during the week:

I've been here a couple of times to meet up with people & both times I've had a good experience. I believe the happy hour is from 4-7, and the deal is 2-for-1 on appetizers, beer & drinks. Their drinks are pretty strong, but not too much. I've had the Chicken Strips & the Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla, both were really good. The waitresses are all nice & attentive. What I like about this place is that during the time I go there's usually only a few people there so it's a good place to meet up with a friend and talk. Also, they have their own parking lot & you don't have to pay.

If you're like me & want to avoid Ventura Blvd. & go to a chill spot to have happy hour & watch the game, go to The Draft.

'As far as I remember' - it was an awesome place. Looks tiny and unapproachable from the exterior. In fact, I've seen it many times and it never looked like a place I'd settle for spending my time in- WRONG. Thank god for pregaming because I was all about trying this place once I was already on a good one!

The outdoor patio is so chill, spacious, great for games, great for smokers, great for socializing etc.

The inside is huge! Beer pong tables? The bar-top is spacial too- stretches a good amount around the bar. I could see it being a great place for a group. I've never been for a game but I bet it's the place to be! I remember well drinks not being too pricey. I don't know the price we paid for beer for beer-pong- so I can't speak of that, and I remember nothing of the wait time or any list- so don't ask me.

I had a good time. Of course alcohol does that- but I'll definitely be back, maybe minus the pregaming to see if this place can stand judgement of a sober person.

We shall see.

The food here is surprisingly good, and the drinks are strong. (Specifically the you call it drinks) I also really like the set-up, there are TVs everywhere.

The service is HORRENDOUS. I mean really bad, maybe the worst ever. It takes forever to get drinks. One time it took almost 30 minutes and the place was dead, imagine when it is busy. (This is based off of many visits)
The servers like to hang around and chit chat instead of helping customers.
I rarely go anymore, and when I do I go straight to the bar to get drinks.

It's a sports bar and I'm not sure what to expect, but I didn't have high expectation coming here for a get together.
The parking is one way in and one way out and it's not too much of a hassle since there are no mad rushes. There's sufficient parking or if not, there's also street parking.
The outdoor patio is a bunch of people smoking and playing beer pong. Walking through the smoke and getting to the main bar was definitely unpleasant. There are booth seating along the walls and they all have TV monitors for sports fanatics right at the table.
There's a pool table, high tops and then there's the actual bar. There is not much to rave about the decor. The ratio to men and women is pretty obvious based on my description.
Everybody was there to have a good time with their company and if sports bars look like this, I'm okay with it. There's this backside of the corner with massive bean bags as a seating are and creates a more laid back, college atmosphere. It just look so comfy =)
The bartenders are friendly, attentive and good drinks with good company is good times.

I've been told about their famous Frito Pie for over a year now but never in the area to actually try it out.

On Tuesday night...that all changed as my girlfriend had to meet up with a friend of hers and picked the Draft.

I don't know if they universe was happy with me, synchronicity of some sort, or just a coincidence. the parking lot seemed a bit small for a place like this, but the bar was pretty empty... considering I've hear the Draft can get pretty Packed most of the time. I was wearing my Charlestown Chiefs jersey and by the time my girlfriend and I sat down...the Bartender had to run up to us and say "Dude, where did you get that Awesome Jersey?". He told us how he was a Big fan of the Slap Shot movie and pointed to the back of the Bar where there was a framed poster of Coach Reggie Dunlup (Paul Newman) "Giving the Business" to Tim 'Dr. Hook' McCracken and how there aren't many "Old Time Hockey" fans that come in on a regular basis. He said a few movie quotes and even busted out "The Foil".

Enough Hockey talk now...Wait...did I mention they have a Kings Logo that doesn't look as good as the Anaheim Ducks logo on the wall next to the Mens' room? ...Sorry about that, I just said that was enough Hockey Talk. We sat down, and our waitress came up to us but before she could even say "Hello, welcome..." I already said "We would like the Frito Pie". Her friend showed up shortly, and we got 3 plates. Our waitress also told us of their Beer (water) Pong league and we were all pretty interested in it and signed up to be on the email list.

The draft seemed really cool for my first time here. I am for sure coming back. Hope the rest of the times are just as awesome. I can't believe it's taken me more than a year to come in.

This is definitely your place to go if you're a sports fan.
I have only gone a few times to watch some basketball games, but each time has been a good experience.

Their FRIED RAVIOLI IS TO DIE FOR.

I think I always go back for the food, not the drinks haha.

the waitresses/bartenders are nice.

The only bad thing is that this place gets packed super quick. :(

oh yeah, and they have a really retarded parking lot.

They show UFC & Boxing PPVs and there is never a cover charge.

Smoking patio in front can get rank so keep this in mind if you want the patio experience but hate smoke (memememmeme!!!!!!!)

The waitresses are cute and trashy (not a diss, you all look like rocker girls or the bad girl from high school---love it!)

First come, first served on seating. You can hold a seat until the start of the PPV after that get ready to make new friends.

Tacos, Philly sandwich and wings are good. Basic bar food, divey decor. You're upscale friends might turn up their noses but your frat brothers and low maintenance types will have a good time here.

Here's the deal. If you come here expecting the motherfucking ritz carlton go home and eat 500 bowls of dicks immediately and then kill yourself.
If you actually have friends, which I very much doubt people who consider themselves extreme proponents of the Yelp community definitely do not have, and you find yourself in this unfortunate part of the Los Angeles metro area, come to this bar. That is all. It's been real.

Great happy hour, great wings and a game is always on.
BUT GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY what a grumpy no talking hide behind his personal computer no conversation bartender. Would've stayed longer if we didn't feel like we were a burden for sitting at the bar and taking away from his Facebook time.

Heard about this from Jeanette and another friend who said they have cheap drinks and a great Happy Hour. Passed by it about a month ago and decided to go for LAKERS VS THUNDER Game #1 last Monday.

----------------
LOCATION
----------------

Riverside + Whitsett near ValSurf and Mikado.

Nice location, a big outdoor covered patio'ish area, the L.A. River is on the backside, which makes me think this would be a nice night bar.

The inside is pretty cool. LOT's of TV's for watching the games and a big projector TV. Pretty big interior. Allegedly they clear out the middle tables some nights and it becomes a dance-floor.

LOTS of BEER PONG TABLES OUTSIDE.

-------------------
THE GOODS
-------------------

~ FRITO PIE - This looked interesting. Pic in my picture section... Frito's and Chili Cheese fries with FRITO's instead of Fries. It was delicious. Nice bar food for $7.00

~ BURGER - My friend got this. Said it wasn't bad, it was kind've good... McDonaldsy like a Big Mac which he said as a "compliment". Said it wasn't worth the $9 but hey it wasn't terrible.

~ PITCHER o' WIDMER HEFIWEIZEN - $15 don't remember the ounces but it poured 5-beers I think so not shabby. Happy hour price would've been glorious.

---------------
AND SO...
---------------

I "H.A.T.E." the Lakers and they lost by 30+ so it was HEAVENLY for me :-)

The waitress had a bit of an attitude with other customers but was cool with me. I was disappointed to arrive @ 5:30pm on a Monday and find out that THEY STOP HAPPY HOUR 30 mins before a big game. I was seated at like 5:40, waited about 20 mins for my friends before I ordered... then at 6:04 she told me they cut off Happy Hour @ 6pm since the Laker game started at 6:30. She told me if it was the Clippers (they next night) they'd have Happy Hour.

I understand from a business aspect it's going to be a packed house regardless but that sucked.

All-in-all it was a good time, would definately like to come during happy hour and at night when it has a dance floor too.

Also I noticed they had Keg's and 75oz, 100oz and 200oz drinks, which is cool for groups of friends... or just Darrell McKnight.

----------------------------
UPDATE 01/31/2013
----------------------------

Been back a few times since, upgraded it from a 3-star to a 5-star. Awesome place to come with a big (10+) group and I've been with 15+ ppl a coupla times. Their LATE NIGHT HAPPY HOUR is amazing... including $4-$6 PITCHERS for like a 2-hour period which is perfect for beer pong. But yeah their late-night happy hour is awesome, great place to watch sports, and it's big with a few different types of areas to lounge at: indoor, bar, patio.

I wish there was a -5 stars for this place! Rude, incompetent bar tender and waiters.
Took forever to get service and when you finally do they're a-holes! The only good thing I enjoyed was the beer pong. If you're looking for a dingy looking place with hostile workers trying to reminisce Tj this is your place!

We came here to watch a UFC match and enjoy a great afternoon with friends. The atmosphere was so loud and crowded that I spent the whole evening trying to hear watch people we saying to me. They allow smoking on the outdoor patio, but the patio is covered by plastic windows which means all the smoke gets trapped inside and there's very little ventilation. The over crowded the place to the point were it became standing room only, which didn't suit my style since I though I was there to relax and watch the fights.

Our waitress was really slow because she was way overwhelmed. It was obvious that she hated her job and we waited over an hour for our food to come out after waiting 20 minutes for our beers. It's just beer! Pour and serve. There's really limited parking here and since I couldn't breath I don't think I'll be back.

This is my favorite place in the area for NFL Sundays, Laker games, and big college games -- whoa. Crowded, loud, and it gets amped up. Usually one game has sound, but all the games are shown here...and if not, they're very accomodating...just ask for even the most remote game or sport to be put on.

They have 1 HUGE projection screen, 6 booths with a private TV's, a bunch of pub tables, over 15+ 35"+ HDTV's, and if you prefer to sit at the bar, small TV's to watch too [click for pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_…

Overall, the food is good for bar food. A nice menu of burgers, dogs, sandwiches, salads, or appetizers...these are all really good: wings, sliders, frito pie, nachos.
--- In particular, one of the most special items, "Juniors fried tacos", is filled with ground meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and a pickle! Sounds gross? Fine, leave them all for me! I love you, all 4 of you. Always with the intent to share or take a couple home, the order comes standard with 4 tacos. Hey, what can I do? True love has no limits!

They have great happy hour specials of 2 for 1 appetizers, and often drink specials.
-- Fresh beer! [http://www.yelp.com/biz_…

Special shout-out to their cute, sweet, and nice servers - Nikki, Katie, Ashley, Lindsey, and Jenny, and much appreciation to Joey the bartender -- super nice guy! Together, the service and setup create a perfect environment for hanging out and enjoying the games.

For all of you smokers, they have a covered outdoor patio with TV's, so go for it.

I really dislike giving not so great reviews but a Yelper has to do what a Yelper has to do.

Went to The Draft for a Bday thing. I will never walk back in here again. Not only did it take our waitress what seemed to be ages to attend to us but after putting in our order it took even longer to get our drinks & food. To top it off it seemed as if we were bothering her. I really wanted to tell her "I am sorry for interrupting your job but can you please bring me my check so I can get out of your way."

The food, this is what we ordered, the Frito Pie & The Hamburger Tacos. Eh I've had better food, so me thinks not. I will add that The Hamburger Tacos are genius as far as how they are put together. Picture this a tortilla, hamburger meat, lettuce, tomato, & yes people french fries. Only thing is that the flavors were plain. I will definitely try & make my own at home.

The ambiance of the place is nice, like most sports bars, you have a pool table, TVs, decent size bar, the DJ on the other hand I think he didn't have any updated music, so if he was trying to target people in their mid to late thirty's then he was doing a great job but for a younger crown me thinks not.

So needless to say even though there were a couple of good looking men, the drinks are expensive, the service is bad, & the food is not good....so The Draft will not see me again.

So I thought this place was pretty cool as The Port, but came coincidentally during a Laker game and got to enjoy dollar beers which they have during laker games. The beer is Bud or Bud Light and they come in 8 oz cups so the waitress kept them coming 2 at a time as fast as we could drink them. Food is pricier here than should be, but I guess they have to make their money somewhere, Joe R. decided we had to get $8 sweet potato fries, pretty good and large, but still I could have gotten $8 beers for those fries.

I hear they have beer pong so yeah I'm a fan of this place and i will back soon.

My friend had a Birthday party here, I didn't realize it was a melting pot for Celebrities, I met Georges St. Pierre, who tried to fight me... i backed down... OBVIOUSLY! He sounds like a French girl named Annie, but I'm sure he punches like a Semi truck collision... anyways, I met Knucklehead from, "Stomp The Yard" Columbus Short, and I met Justin Bieber's bodyguard... I only know who that is because my daughter watches "Never say Never" 8 times a week.... don't judge me. It's got a dirt parking lot, and the bar stools in that place lean forward.. so if you have your booty buffed regularly you would surely slide off of them... typical prices for LA, and I unfortunately didn't have any food, but it had the ambiance of a biker bar with the social group of an awards show afterparty... i dig this place

I've been here twice and I can say it's not too bad. Each time I've gone, the bar hasn't been overly packed inside, which is good. It's also ALOT bigger than it seems from the outside and there's plenty of seating: table tops, booths, couches, even bean bags.

The bartenders have always been super nice to me, but then again, I'm a girl and they are guys...so, duh. As far as the waitresses go, they are nice too, but I've noticed the service becomes quite scarce the further away you sit from the waitress station.

The only issue I had with this bar is that a DJ comes in Saturday nights and kills my buzz by playing nonstop dubstep for the rest of the night. That's when you ask for the check, please.

I like the Draft and will definitely come back: however, I don't think it'll be for The Superbowl (I can only imagine what that place will be like) OR on a Saturday any time after 9pm. Cheers.

Why does everybody hate on The Draft? Leave it alone!

I come here once in a while, always withe same crowd, and it's never been disappointing. Rather, the drinks are strong, there are tv's everywhere with sports or old music videos on, and there are no shortage of activities to engage in: beer pong, boxing, basketball, karaoke (some nights), or photobooth. There shall be fun for all and I think you should come one night, just don't have any expectations to be met.

Three problems that have caused me to lower my rating:

1. They recently raised prices.

2. They let kids in.

3. They do not honor their happy hour during NFL games.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? This is a SPORTS bar and they don't honor their happy hour during NFL games? Their logo is even a rip-off of the NFL logo! This is super cheap of them and, seriously, is it THAT much more profitable to charge full price at 5pm on a Thursday? It's uber-cheap, false advertising, and offensive to regular customers.

Come on Draft, get your act together, get the kids out of there and honor that happy hour. It's only 4-7 anyway, people watching the games will still pay full price after 7.

Fix these problems and it becomes a 5-star place.

I come here for the major Boxing fights. You have to get here at least 3 hours in advance to claim a great spot to watch. This bar always gets packed to the gills on fight night. They have so many TVs set up that no matter where you sit you will get a great view.

It doesn't matter how full this place gets, the waitresses, servers and bust boys manage to wiggle through the crowd to take your order and get you your food while it's still hot. They keep coming back to check on you too. Also, the prices are really affordable and you can enjoy all of your favorite sporting event snacks right here with beverage specials all night long.

This place is a class act all the way.... if you have the dough you can reserve a private booth with it's own TV for such an occassion. Book early.

After each fight night they have a DJ come in a setup in a matter of minutes to get the party going, so stay and mingle or just dance some of that extra fat you just put on.

The Draft is a bit out of the way, is somewhat neighborhood-divey, and isn't really my number one pick when it comes to geting-slizzered spots, but it definitely plays its role

-- and is totally clutch when it comes to happy hour and eats.

When I was a snotty little kid, this building used to be a Greek restaurant and dance hall, so seeing it replaced with a bar was initially a lugubrious experience that quickly morphed into one of sotted ecstasy, once I got hammered hardcore (courtesy of enough Grey Geese to populate a Dickens novel).

WHAT?

(British people? And geese? Like for Christmas dinner, Cratchit?)

Anyway...

Food? At a bar? This one -- yes. Think suburban BJ's Brewhouse, minus the desperation, plus less filler-ice in your Coke and rum.

It's a sports bar, but not an obnoxious one with too much testosterone or anything like that. There's a nice patio where you can avoid the big TV if you want to look at quiet Riverside Drive instead.

If you're looking to hook up, this is the wrong place. The Draft is more a place to go if you're looking to get wasted in a suburban, low-key setting.

BTW -- Thank you, Dirk Nowitzki, for hitting two game-winners within seven days and giving me multiple heart attacks.

I don't even like basketball.

The Draft has a way of making you GAF.

Two Words: BEER PONG!

Hello Riverside Drive! It is moi, your 5 minute away neighbor that didn't know you hosted such a lovely place called The Draft!

Jessica C. took me here a couple of months ago only for it to be the first of many times I'd be coming back to this place. I was in disbelief not realizing that my very own city had such cool awesome bar spots.

This is definitely a sports bar and definitely makes you feel like you're in some frat guys basement that's hosting a sports event including a bar. You'll find booths, tables, bean bags!, couches, and lots.. lots A LOT of screen TVs all over the place. Heck you'd think you were in Circuit City's television and entertainment section. (RIP Circuit)

A few FYI's :
***If you want to sit in the booth you need to have a party of 4, or else you'll need to spend at least 100.00.
****During Laker season games they have beer specials for 1.00!
**** They have a small food menu with appetizers. NO Desserts! HMPH!
*** Girls..... you'll be surrounded by plenty of guys here...

and last but not least they have three awesome beer pong tables outside in the patio, including a few arcade games.

If a great game is on t.v and I'm not home or answering my cell? Meet me at The Draft.

It's a fact: if you're in the Valley, you might as well be drunk in the Valley. If it's your birthday in the Valley*? Forget about it. The only thing to do is get off-your-ass wasted (done!) and forget that you spent your birthday in the Valley.

As such, and in the name of off-your-ass-wastedness, The Draft is a pretty excellent locale.

How so? Well, the beer pong is fairly swell. So, too, are the alcoholic beverages served by scantily clad waitresses. The seating is ample--the smoking section, in particular, shines--and the drinks are strong.

What else do you need?

Scantily clad ladies grinding on the door jambs of the bathroom as one tries to exit, you say?

You damn well better believe it!

Frankly, and as explained by my good friend Jimmy Jack M., the only reason to hump a door frame is if you hate yourself. As such, The Draft is a great place to feel classy, or hate yourself, or feel classy whilst you hate yourself. Then again, you could very well end up as the classiest lady or gentleman in the bar; it's one of those (pretend this "those" has been italicized) places.

Conversely, there is this punching thing video game that men insecure in their manhood like to beat up because it means that they're badasses, if only as judged by what is essentially a cheap arcade game that estimates the force of their punch. You have been warned.**

Still? The Draft is easily a four star bar. Drinks are cheap, activity is ample, and the people watching is pretty darn good, especially for the Valley.

Four stars.

*Happy Birthday, Mykee Del M.! To me, as well! Libras, FTW!

**In other, less nice words, there's a pretend punching bag you can play with if you have a small penis. The rest of us will judge you but not say mean things to your face. You have been forewarned.

EW. That's it. The Draft is gross.

Food SUCKS and both times I went, came out cold. The service is absolutely horrible in every way. The servers and bartenders straight up ignored my friend and I (both of us girls). When we finally were actually able to find a seat, it was still dirty for the people who sat there before us. The server watched the other people leave and us sit down in their place. Then she came by, asked us what we wanted to drink, then only cleared off half of the mess but left the old baskets full of half eaten food. She didn't even clear it off until the third time she came around and we asked her if we could order food and she said "well, do you have a menu?". Seriously?!?

It's dirty, the drinks are overpriced for the kinda joint it is and the food and service are crap. DON'T waste your time.

Absolutely the worst imitation for a dive bar in existence!

First, if you can get there at the right hour, during the right game and you are friends of the staff, the beer is cheap and the drink prices are decent... But they play favorites...

BIG WARNING: Any excellent review is either by a non-real Yelper of dubious authenticity or has not been there in a while. You listening "Billy M." or "Melinda S." ??? They have a jukebox that over rides the DJ booth.. What's with that? Songs start and stop in the middle once someone puts a quarter in the Internet Jukebox..

Beware if a patron is on a Donald Fagen or Sade spree.. Nothing like a Sports bar and a little Sade to make you head for the exit....I love Sade.. But not with Bud Lite and Boxing matches.. Smooth Operator with Ultimate Boxing is actually freaky....

Oh, and watch out the food is triple fried in yuck... I never saw so many tables leave food on a plate where fairly cheap beer is served in my life.. It just plain scared me...

They may have been decent when they first opened.. But now they have major attitude.. Except for one bartender who was confused what to charge us, and the one or two waitresses that seemed nice..Why I have no idea...Since I never got their attention once my friends arrived they just couldn't handle a small crowd...

They have three drink specials, one for friends, another for regulars, and a third for persons stupid enough to bring a bunch of friends.. My mistake was to bring a bunch of friends, they charged us more than the special Dodger night beer... So seriously watch out...When I called them out on it, they said too bad you have too many friends? Like What?

My female friends freaked out in the bathroom.. It needs to get cleaned up... That's all I can say...I stay away from bathroom humor...

Now if you want to go to a scary wanna-be dive bar, with a staff with an attitude that doesn't match the stanky atmosphere than this is your place... Otherwise cross the street and go to the Fifth.. Its run by the guys at the Well and the Woods..I only mention the Fifth cause once i brought my friends there they were so cool they extended the happy hour prices for us...

Not sure of all the fond memories Melinda S. either since the Draft just opened ... It had been the Port just a few months ago this Aug 09... I liked the Port, true divey place but honest divey.. Not the Plasma Screen fried crap, slow internet pop jukebox real obnoxious attitude of the Draft....

Read Scott the first reviewer for the truth... Seems they need to create fake reviews to fool poor unsuspecting dive bar crawlers.. So beware.....

Plus if you are going for Sports watch out again, I heard the bartender tell a guy they couldn't play a local game, but of course he got the $2 Dodger Bud beer special and my friends and I got the more expensive $2.50 Bud special... What kind of place charges two different prices for the same beer? I am repeating but I am still in shock...

I just guess we looked like we could pay more since we were in a large group...

Also beware of the well drink specials too.. They appear optional too depending who you know...

Too bad really since it has potential, they just blew it with bizarre pricing system and cheap greasy eats with velvet rope attitude in their brains..

Hopefully it may change but don't bet on it...
