Drake Tavern

I want to like this place because it is the local tavern - very convenient if I want a quick no frills bite.  I have been consistently disappointed lately for a number of reasons.  For one, the staff is not friendly if you are not a "regular".  I don't go to bars and just sit.  I'll go for a meal, but I don't hang there.  When I go there, I feel like a stranger who just rolled up in someone's house uninvited and interrupted a convo.  The servers barely acknowledge you when you walk in.  The waitresses  (yes all the servers are women) are all really young (like barely 19) and they all dress like they came out of the Hooters school of waitressing.  I just can't stand seeing young women dressed to pander to local oversexed, overaged and over drunken men.  Next is the food.  The menu LOOKS good, but the food isn't all that great.  For example, the dirty chips (which claim to be kettle cooked chips) are more like like Lays potato chips topped with melted cheese.  The tuna melt was a major disappointment with a bag of (Lays) chips on the side.  The fish and chips dish is so greasy its almost inedible.  Burgers are pretty good and probably the best thing on the menu.  Someone else said the food is a notch above cafeteria food and I can't disagree.  Bottom line, this place good be so much more with a better trained staff, more attention to detail and food that lives up to the description on the menu.

This a good local pub restaurant.  The selection is ok, but we enjoy the food.  A solid selection of beers, which is critical for any tavern/pub.  It's more of a "bar" and the noise can be too high for a family sit down.  A nice spot if you want to catch the game.

this a great place to have a quick bite to eat .i havent been there in a while so decided to go last night was in ther mood for a certain burger they called the shrimp asain burger which consisted of a homemade burger teriyaki glace shrimp with a asian salad top with fried wontons and they took it off there menu!!! why???/ ):so we tried a diffrent  burgers which was also good and the crab cake sandwich which was sooo good  . its all crab meat (i hate it when theres so much stuffing in the meat that its just a lump of mush) it was seasoned really well  & comes with a side of old bay fries
