This is one of the most comfortable places in town. It's small, cozy and consistently good.
They have just re-done their menu and the fresh items really add some much needed variety to the offerings. They have a small, but good, beer menu and a wonderful whiskey menu. The service is attentive without being needy. On this night, we were lucky enough to have an adorable fellow diner at a nearby table. She is 19 months, had pigtails and was adorable. And that's one of my favorite parts of this place; it is a local joint at it's heart so you get couples on dates, families, and local luminaries. It is a fun, local place to hang out.
Hate to say it, but they f'd this place up a little. Â They revamped the menu (pared it way down) taking away a few of my and my friends favorite items and some of their "signature" burgers. Â Looks like they also raised the prices fairly significantly. Â Not a good combination. Â Offered good to great pub food as an alternative to better, fancier restaurants down the street - now - I can get a $12 lunch at a lot of other places that tastes a lot better. Â Â Too bad.
