A-OK, the good was good, the bad wasn't too bad.

First, Tutto Vino is cozy. It's pretty dark, actually, and might be a little more charming in the rain or snow. The carpet and decor is a little outdated/thrown together, but that'll either add or detract to the charm, depending on your personality. Think late 90's hunter greens, and hotel carpet.

BUT! I saw some wine shelves for sale "when we move" -- so Tutto Vino may be ditching the interior altogether and going for a new look somewhere else.

I love these retail wine/restaurant combos. The seating is more limited than, say, a Wine Bistro, but Tutto Vino doesn't have the crowds, either. I ordered a cheese plate. We'd just come from dinner but I was still feeling a bit peckish. For $10, we got three fairly small slices of smoked gouda (you select the type of cheese you want from about 4 or 5 on the menu), olives (kalmata?), flax crackers, and some candied walnuts. The portion was perfect for our post-dinner tummies, but if we'd been hungry, it might have seemed a bit scant. It was served on a very tiny plate, so everything was all smooshed up together. Some olive juice got the crackers soggy, and there wasn't enough room to really cut the gouda. Like many places just on the verge of being a little better, some better plating might have justified the $10 price tag. Perhaps served on a small cutting board, with plenty of space between the items.

Anyway, despite those gripes, I enjoyed the cheese plate. I also really enjoyed my wine (a Malbec blend). Glasses will run you around $10 as well (some more, some less). I didn't look over much of the menu, but I can definitely see this place being the perfect selection when you want a relaxing night with some wine, but not too energetic. Buy a wine on the retail side, and split it with a buddy (a romantic buddy or good gal pal buddy) over some salads or small plates. The crowd skews older, definitely suburban. You definitely don't need to feel like you need to dress up. This isn't a see and be seen kind of place.

I'm not sure it's worth a trek across town (and certainly not in rush hour), but if you're in the area and you're not quite ready to head home, try Tutto Vino.

I'm so mad at myself - that I've lived in Dublin once for a year, and now my second time for 5+ yrs and NEVER came here!  What I've been missing!

First off, HUGE wine list with bottles you can buy/take home.  The owner (Raj) even allows corking and they'll take care of it for you.  Secondly, the cheese tray was wonderful.  I got the Blue Cheese and one other, but can't remember the name.  I'll be back to get it again, though.

Finally (so far), they do a great job of listening to you and figuring out what it is you like about wine, and then matching what they've heard to a bottle or glass picked out just for you.  If you don't like it, they'll get you another one.  This place is awesome.

The good news is, I'm raising my kids in Dublin, one of which is currently -(3) months old.  So, I've got lots of time to catch up for lost time.

Wine, beer, food, and service are all fantastic!  The place is half wine shop and half restaurant.  I love to purchase my wine from the shop and hang with my friends in the restaurant.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
