Very nice alley - the atmosphere is especially good for the 21+ crowd who wanna get tipsy and go bowling. They're open til 2AM on fri and sat. I like how it has more of a chillin-with-yo-homies vibe instead of your typical fluorescent bowling alley that caters to middle-aged league bowlers.
1 downside: the food is not a very good deal - they don't put enough toppings on the nachos...it felt quite scanty, especially for the price.
Came here for a Saturday afternoon of bowling with the kids. Â Clean and family friendly environment (evidenced by multiple kiddie birthday parties in progress). Â Ten Pin has those cool bowling ball holder things with ramps so your little one can get their bowling ball rolling without too much effort. Â They also have bumpers on the alleys so every set doesn't result in multiple gutter balls--also helpful for this 37 year old less than skilled bowler. Â The scoring equipment is top notch and there are flat screen TV's over every lane.
There is a full bar and impressive beer selection (I didn't partake as I was our 2 and 4 year old's designated driver). Â
As others have noted, the food is definitely a cut above the usual bowling alley fare. Â The fries were good and the the buffalo chicken sandwich my wife and I split was decent, but definitely check out the potato skins.
So a fun time for the parents and kids and our afternoon made me oddly nostalgic for the TV show "Ed." Â Why isn't that show on reruns somewhere on cable?
My first time to this hang-out was with a special needs class from a Dublin school (I happen to be subbing for a teacher that works with these kids). As we walked in, straight ahead is the "front desk". Trying on shoes went smoothly. There were 3 men working up front, thus there was never a wait. When it came to picking a ball, we had a fast collection to choose from - since it was 10 am, we did not have to compete with the regular crowds that, i assume, can crowd during the weekend nights.
This establishment has 14 (?) lanes, all on one side of the interior. Interesting decor and ambiance. Behind every lane's ball-return-table-thingamajigger, there are two love seat couches and a cushy chair surrounding a long, low, coffee table. Behind these, there are tables/four chairs for more seating options. Regular "current hits" played on the radio - everything from country, Beattles, and upbeat R&B. I did not see any "arcade". But then again, perhaps it's off in a side area. There were 4 or 5 "rooms" that could be rented out for parties, business gatherings, etc. There was a small bar/food spot - the regular "movie theater food" offerings, but also burgers, chicken, salads.
Since I was there on a school field trip, I don't know about the costs. I do know you rent the lane (per hour). I'm not too terribly familiar with the Hilliard area. Should I ever feel the urge to give my arm a workout, now I know this establishment exists!
