Mac A Doos is the center of a little empire near Roberts and Walcutt in Hilliard. Â It consists of a drive-thru and a little sports bar with a patio, parking in the rear!
But its a nice little empire, for sure! Â We overwhelmed them on Saturday night for a friends b-day and had a great time. Â Cheap prices, friendly staff, good pizza and food=good time. Â Turns out there were at least two other birthdays that night at the bar and people were in rare form. Â
Don't fret, these were nice Hillard folks, definitely a local hangout. Â Overall, it was clean, friendly, just dive-y enough to fit in in with the local Hilliard crowd (me in included). Â Don't be afraid, check it out!!
Mac A Doo's is a great neighborhood bar that happens to be attached to a well stocked beverage drive through. Â The pepperoni pizza is great with a thin crispy crust, and if you call ahead you can pick up at the drive through. Â The beer is cheap and can be purchased in buckets or pitchers. Â My friends and I go there to rock the juke box and play darts but they also have parties for all the OSU games.
Review Source:Mac A Doos is a drive thru, as well as a small bar & grille located near Roberts Road in Hilliard. Â It's a small business, but seems to do quite well as it's been there seemingly forever.
The drive thru is fully stocked with all kinds of beverages including soda, beers, and sports drinks. Â They also have various kinds of snacks. Â You pay a premium for the service, but if you need something quick, it's the way to go.
The bar is small (holding maybe 50 people.) Â There are a couple of TVs, a jukebox, darts, and even Keno. Â There are about a dozen tables to sit at. Â There is also a heated room for smoking, if you need it. Â Finally there is also a patio area for warmer weather. Â
They serve a variety of beers and liquors. Â What I really liked were the prices...dirt cheap!!! Â It felt like happy hour prices even though we were there at 10:00 on a Saturday night. Â Bottled beers were $2 and a large cocktail (equivalent to 2 cocktails at most bars) were only $5. Â Best prices I've seen at a bar in a l-o-n-g time.
Mac A Doos has a small menu which includes pizza, subs, and typical bar food. Â We ordered two 8" pizzas (for $5 a piece) which were tasty. Â The owner brought them out and checked on us several times to be sure we liked them. Â They were good, especially for the price.
Mac A Doos is far from what I would call a "partying" bar as the clientele is older and more laid back. Large parties would be hard to fit in as well. Â However, for a relatively quiet place with great prices, it's hard to beat.
