I went here to meet a friend and play some pool. It was pretty dead in there with most of the pool tables being open. Appropriately bad music blared over the sound system which, being from small town America, made me feel right at home. All of the pool tables seemed well maintained, as did the sticks. Neither of the ones I tried were warped and they had different weights to choose from.
I ordered a couple drinks from the bar and the slightly surly bartender also fit well with the atmosphere. They had a surprising selection of craft beer in the bottle as well on tap, but unfortunately the tap system was broken that day. I was expecting the standard Bud/Miller/Coors and ended up with a Bell's Two Hearted. Nice! One warning to pass along is that they have a $10 minimum on a credit/debit card. I didn't see any signs posted, and I believe this goes against their terms of service with the credit card company. I wasn't feeling confrontational, or wanting another drink so I just left a generous tip and that was that.
I have not been inside in many years, so many that to say the year, I am dating myself. Went on 7-16-11, forgot how large the space is. Nice tables, many to choose from. Saturday was karaoke night. Not many people singing, but some fun listening. For what ever reason, the HVAC was not on, lots of fans trying to circulate the air. (Either still broken or they are trying to save $$$, since another reviewer stated this on 7/5). Bathrooms appear to be from the year 1991 when this establishment opened. They need some serious work. Â Drinks were OK.
Review Source:Home of the self-titled 'Worst Karaoke In Town' on Saturday nights. Â Looks like from about 9:30pm-2:00am.
It was hot. Â really hot. Â very hot. Â Apparently their AC is broken and has been for a bit. Â That was a bit of a bummer. Â The place was pretty nice, though, actually. Â Classily appointed enough to be a little comfortable but not so classy as to make one uncomfortable, if you know what I mean. Â They had (as the name clearly points out) many billiards/pool tables, but I can't really speak to those -- we came for Karaoke. Â It was well run by a guy who (quite fortunately) doesn't take the whole thing too seriously and just attempted to promote fun. Â Fun was certainly had. Â It was a smallish crowd, but we made it into something pretty epic. Â
Standard beer and liquor selection applies -- they obviously have a full bar.
