Buffalo Wings & Bowls

This place must be out of business.  I live near by and often walk past this place on my way to other stores in the shopping center.  I have never seen more than one couple in here eating at a time, so i was curious how long they'd be open.   It does not appear that they did much marketing, other than word of mouth and foot traffic of people going to the dollar theater next door.  As of late March, they are no longer open and a sign on the door (as of April 4th) indicates that they do not have a valid food service permit.  

The weird thing is that the lights are on the inside and it looks as if they just locked up one day and walked out and decided to not come back.   If you peak in the window, you will still see a fully stocked bar and big screen TV's still on the wall.

I am not sure I understand the intent of Buffalo Wings and Bowls. If I want Korean, I'll go to a Korean restaurant. If I want buffalo wings, I'll go to BW3. Still, fusion places intrigue me, and it has been pulled off successfully in the past, so why not?

Walking in to the dimly lit bar/lounge setting was a bit off putting. Combine that with the fact that my friend and I were the only ones in the whole place. But the waitress (who was doubling as the bartender) was very sweet and helpful explaining the menu items to the best of her ability.

After much deliberation, I ordered one of the Korean bulgogi bowls. The food came, and it was hot as hell, which was good. It tasted good too, and there was plenty of it. Ultimately, the food lacked somewhat of a je ne sais quoi, which kept it from being better than just A-OK.

My sister found this place and took me for my birthday. I thought it was amazing since I've never experienced eating hot stone bowls or there seafood soup which was amazing. Enough to definitely split amongst two or even share the soup as an appt. amongst four people or so. I really like it and as I was eating I felt like I was one of those actress's in those Korean dramas. It was a very nice experience and the server was so nice to. Definitely recommend it.
