Ha!  I totally love this place!  True, the food is not the best you will ever have.  It's family fare, stuff that drunk people and kids would like but it's called Duffers Pub, what do you want from it?  Be realistic, now.  They have three levels (bar, restaurant, games) and a lunch, dinner and late night menu.  I've always gotten great service here and the beer menu is pretty extensive.

On the weekends they have bus service to most of the places in the county so that you can tie one on responsibly.  I would have given four stars, but that bus alone bumps it to five.  They go the extra mile.

To get here you'll need to turn where it looks like you're going to the Bank of America.  It's sort of nestled in behind the bank.

Oh, and they accept <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> gift certificates.

Mediocre food and service. Good selection of beer and nice setting. Wanted to like it, but doubt i would return.

For boondocks PA this bar does the trick. Also there was music on that constantly made me feel like I could dance. Clearly essential in small town bars.

After driving forever, getting lost and then finally circling all the way back we made it in time for the late night menu. Because it's the late night menu I don't think they're bringing their best game here. Selection was great... pizza, soft pretzels (YESSSS), wings etc, all the things you could possibly imagine to be on a bar late night menu.

We ordered an array of things all of which satisfied our hungry bellies but nothing that would ever bring me back. We could have probably made an equal feast in our kitchens from the frozen food aisle in the super market. But hey, late at night that's all you really need right? Cheap beer specials, frozen foods and some good music to dance to.

The Slachta family puts on a good party in this local bar.

The loss of a star here has to do with the smoking that is apparently legal in the downstairs area of this bar.  Not good but look it aint gonna kill ya....ooops well forget that.  We went with the cousins, wives, in-laws and anyone else who got into the car that night.  Whew!  Didnt know we still had that in us at these ages.

Got there about 10 and closed the place out.  Guinness was flowing right next to the Tullamore Dew.  Someone said shots at one point....oh boy!  You know its a good night when you have to make one turn to get home and you get lost....What the hell?!?

great drinks.  Good atmosphere just lose the smoke.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Their food is mediocre at best, the beer selection is all right, and the waitstaff is friendly, but that it. We had a groupon to this place so we thought we would try it out. Sorry but i have to say never again.

I loved the outdoor TV and palm tree even though we ate inside with our group.  Food was great and the service was good.  If I lived here, this would be my neighborhood pub!

On April 9th, I took a "first date" to Duffer's in Concordville.  I have been going there for years and generally had a favorable time.  On this night we had a couple of apps. and several bottles of imported beer.  We got the bill and my date said that she wanted to pay the tip. I didn't want her to know how much it was, so she gave me a $5 bill and, though I am usually a very generous tipper, I didn't want to tell her to throw in more money.  It came out to about 12%, and since I had been at Duffer's many times, and given pretty healthy tips all those times, that it was not a big deal...I would catch up next time.

Well, as it turns out, a chubby little girl in thigh-high boots came to our table, introduced herself as the manager, and asked if everything was OK.  We said "yes". Why?  She said that we gave our waitress $5 and that Duffer's usually expects "18 to 20% tips".  It goes without saying that both my date and I were somewhat embarrassed, especially me, since this was our first date and I recommended Duffer's to her.  We gave her a few more dollars and left...

I have to suggest that you post a sign stating that you require "18 to 20%" gratuity when patrons visit your place and if you tip less than that, we will come to your table and hassle you.  It  goes without saying that I will not be back (lots of other places like yours).  I realize that you really don't care if I come back, but usually when I go to Duffer's, I bring several others with me...I will also tell, not just my close friends about this incident, but my associates and others as well.  I am also planning to mention this incident on Yelp and any other consumer service I can think of.

Being a retired U.S. Air Force Officer, I have traveled extensively and know that the United States is the only country that tips wait staff.  I don't have a problem with it, but this incident borders on extortion...and I won't tolerate that.

If you're looking for a local pub where you feel welcomed and can kick-back, this is your place!

My favorite meal is a Kennett burger with sweet potato fries.  The burger is handmade (not a square frozen patty) and big enough that you have to cut the sandwich in half to eat it.  And the sweet potato fries are out of this world, sliced into ovals for easy dipping.  As for the rest of the menu, I consider it above average for a local pub.

The clientele ranges from softball teams and golf foursomes, to local office workers, to 30 somethings and older couples.  This isn't a dive bar for alcoholics or a cheap college hang-out.

The facilities are friendly and comfortable.  Their circular bar is surrounded by plenty of TVs offering a variety of sports along with trivia and bustling bartenders.  They also have a good selection of draft beer that's cold and tastes fresh (i.e. they keep the taps clean).

The outside patio is also a big plus with a bar along with plenty of tables in high demand.  I love sitting at a table during a nice evening and watching the Phil's on their older big screen tv.  Plus, they have a few free games to people to enjoy (bocce, ring toss, etc.).

Overall, this place is tops for this category in the Concordville/southern Chester County area!

Had a late dinner here Thursday night. I had just arrived in town and my brother brought me out. The nice part was we were able sit outdoors in the 70 degree weather and have a few beers while waiting for dinner.

We ordered off the late night menu. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with the house special hot sauce. What hot sauce? It came with fries as well. My brother had a half order of nacho's and some chili cheese fries. The fries were swimming in cheese whiz and some greasy bacon bits.

Over all, pretty good atmosphere here, but the food leaves a lot to be desired.

This Duffer's is NOT the same as the one on 352 in West Chester.  The food here is good for burgers and sandwiches.  The outdoor seating area is huge, and the 2 bocce ball lanes are always a good time.  Downstairs has 5 pool tables and arcade games, along with a shuffleboard table.  The shuffleboard table USED to be free (since forever), and all of a sudden you have to pay $.75 for like...5 minutes of play.

It used to be fun here.  Now, it's just a little depressing.
