I tend to forget much of my nights at Dusk, but don't get me wrong, that's a good thing!!! The music is awesome, the club is not overly crowded (aka no creepy guys groping you all night), the drinks are strong & the staff is attractive and very helpful. Â This is my go to club in AC. Always a good night, even if your memory is a little hazy ;)
Review Source:I went to Dusk this past weekend with my friends by my bachelorette party. Â The music was amazing, the dance floor was packed, we had discounted cover, and we had an amazing time. Â My only critique is that the dance floor is too small. Â I was actually shocked compared to many other clubs I have been too. Â Other than that, I do recommend Dusk for those that are ready to party.
Review Source:Were they filming a movie? No just unbelievable unprofessional. I work in AC every third weekend, we had an Athlete that is a Bellator fighter get a table and number of bottles at Dusk after winning his fight in Caesars. Having been here once before I was remotely excited to go back. Quickly disappointed. The crowd, all Indian in a very close click / group. The staff: rude as shit, especially considering we were the only group spending 1,000$s on the night.
The final straw: we had a German Olympian in for the weekend and at the end of the night he was making friendly conversation with a group of girls. A "promoter" read pimp walks up to him and quotes " you're not talking to my girls." Our German friend was simply trying to ask what he meant (language barrier) when two large bouncers started pushing him out the door. Next I knew one had me around the neck in a Rear Nakid Choke. I politely showed him how to get out of the holds he continued to try and put me in (315lb black bouncer with the buzz...sorry your form is terrible) Mind you I was literally just standing on the dance flow before anything happened. As they push my German friend to the exit he asks " what about my friend" they respond " you won't be seeing him, move on."
So this is where it becomes a scene from a movie. Three men have now corralled me to a golden elevator door. No where to go, the door opens. I say " oh this is where u push me inside and beat me up?!" As I point to the camera on the ceiling of the elevator I chuckle "not today." The door then opens into a bustling kitchen with an exit to a back alley, and of course their friends waiting outside to try and pick my pocket book. I respond, "I'm walking out that door and none of you are following me. This isn't your standard roll. ". They realize they aren't dealing with the normal skinny white kids they see weekly. I walk out the door and head directly back to the front of the club, grab my friends and let the world know how the bouncers at dusk will: steal your purse, your wallet, and if you are not smart and savvy, jump you in an alley. Good luck!
I'll go to this place again! They played a variety of music, had a decent size dance floor. Everything was fine - except it did have the creepiest guys I've ever encountered in a club. Also, I thought clubs closed at 4? They were cleaning up, sweeping the floor by 3:20.. while people were STILL on the dance floor. What the heck is up with that??
Review Source:I am in no way a club person but I had fun here for my friend's bachelorette. The music was fun: top 40, 80s, early 90s-00s hip-hop. It was very crowded on the floor so I was glad the 16 of us had an area right next to the DJ booth. I recommend this space versus the bottle service tables around the dance floor because people are clamoring around and through your area all night. There is a bit of a claustrophobic feeling in the club with low ceilings and no real space outside of the dance floor, but all-in-all Dusk puts on a pretty good time.
Review Source:We came here to partttyyyy! Dusk at Caesar's was my first clubbing experience in Atlantic City. I admit, being a Jersey girl, I was a bit late to the partying in AC game. Well, better late than never? Right?
I've been spoiled in NYC and Vegas because I'm not used to paying cover, especially if it's before midnight. However, in AC there is a smaller selection of where to go to have a good time! My friends and I rolled up to Dusk for a birthday party. I'll admit, for my first AC clubbing experience, I was very surprised that it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be... I guess in NYC it's so easy to get used to the shoulder to shoulder kind of club that having a little dancing and breathing space was refreshing! The crowd here was a good mix and gender ratio was pretty even. The DJ played a decent mix of top hits, hip hop and edm. Dusk has a nice light display and a fairly spacious dance floor. There are also pleanty of tables for bottle service, but if you do. ot go that route, drinks at the bar are average price for the AC area. This is the perfect spot for bacherlor or bacherlorette parties as we saw many of them going on that night! All around, Dusk has the recepie for a great party. Overall, pretty decent spot to hit up when in AC.
This place is a joke i came here with my friends and payed good money for a table the bouncers where not paying attention and let some kids come to our section and try to steal our alcohol then when we confronted the kids the bouncers came and gave me and my friends a hard time especially the black bouncer named gino dont even waste your time or money coming here go to hq in revel
Review Source:I wasn't sure what to expect as I was in Atlantic City for business. However, I kept hearing good things about Dusk and decided to head over to Caesars with a group of friends to see if we could get in. In short, it was a great night and a great club. I didn't find the cover or the drink prices any different than expected and the sound system and environment were on par with the best clubs in NY or LA. Only downside is that Caesars itself is a bit of a dump, but I'll cover that in a different review. I'll return anytime I'm back in AC.
Review Source:Due to a string of really bad, no-good club experiences, I give myself a little pep talk every time before I head out to a club. It goes something like this:
"Tonight will suck. There will be soul-killing long lines where you rapidly sober up from the last pregame and your feet scream filthy curses at your mother. The bouncers will be assholes with an axe to grind: you didn't come with enough hot girls, you're not white, you're not dressed skankily enough, and/or he just does not like you. The cover will be something like $20 for girls or $500 bottle service for guys. The music will suck like that one time that one DJ played 90's French rap for half an hour interspersed with loud yelling about how dubstep signaled the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. The crowd will consist of drunk guys bobbing near the fringe and then occasionally snaring a girl by creepily rubbing his crotch into her butt and hoping she doesn't scream/slap him/leave. You will wonder why you did not just stay at home knitting with your seven cats." Â
Sometimes it's better to go into something with zero expectations and then have the place exceed all of them. SIGN UP FOR THE GUEST LIST on Dusk's website - no interactions with promoters, quick, easy, and complimentary admission before 11. If you head over early, there won't be any lines. Bouncers were surprisingly helpful: when my friend wanted to go back to our room to drop off her bag, they waved her in without any hassle at all.
The music: an unbelievable set. There were some weird songs here and there, but nearly all of the songs that the two DJs played were crowd favorites. Bunch of Top 40s/Afrojack.
The crowd: disturbingly baby-faced. There was one drunken boy who could not be older than than eighteen dancing like a crazy loon with his friends and crashing into any and all who were nearby. Also, Dusk features these stripper poles on the dance floor. I witnessed one group of smashed girls grinding away (and video-taping it), subsequently getting pulled down by a different group of smashed girls, who then got pulled down themselves. Wowzers.
The prices: $6 for a cranberry vodka. Not bad according to NYC standards.
Awesome Story/ My best friend and I were invited into the DJ booth at one point by one Ian Hoffer (holla at ya), and we got to play around with the various lights/images/smoke machine. Yep, those ten seconds of non-stop smoke and pitch blackness was all me and Eileen C. I also put on some seriously horrendous combinations of images and colors on the display screen, like teal airplanes flying on a pink and brown background. No need to thank me.
And what a view. Utterly plastered 21st Birthday Girl & Company/Bachelorette & Company smooshing their boobs on the plastic divider and trying to get the DJ's attention to make a song request. One girl not only repeatedly slammed her fists along the divider, she also reached over and yanked down the DJ's headphones to talk to him. That is some cray cray. Of course, I also violated the fundamental rule of DJ Etiquette by requesting a song later on, but I didn't have to show a boob or two to do so. I call that the Booth Discount. /Awesome Story
Will definitely come back next time.
Last night was my first and Last time at Dusk. So after reading mixed reviews of this place from yelp and other sites I gave it a try b/c I was in AC yet again and looking for a place to drink and dance on a Tuesday. My husband and I signed up for the guest-list on Dusk's site and got in for free bf 11 YAY! No problems with bouncers or purses getting stolen thank God, as some had said but read on.
We walk downstairs, into the club Fyi it is a small place, to the left is the first bar we see. There was one bartender and like 30 people at that bar waiting to be served. I knew it would be a wait but I didn't expect to be bullied. Long story short this bartender COMPLETELY IGNORED me (oh and the guy at the bar in front bf me wished me luck getting a drink, as he said he was there a WHILE bf he got served) and served everyone AROUND me even though I waved him down after about 10 minutes, and asked "Can I please have 2 vodka cranberries?" for over 2O MINUTES. He served everyone around me including my husband who had eventually stood next to me and the bartender served him after 10 minutes of him approaching the bar. So I don't know if it's a racial thing (as I read in other reviews) seeing as I was the only Black person at that bar in the 20 plus minutes I was standing there or this bartender was just outright rude. Either way AVOID the very tall thin bartender with light brown hair. I didn't even want the overpriced drink after that whole shenanigan.
I did not let that ruin my night thou. The DJ/music was good, a mix of dance, hip hop few rock songs. It was packed and the crowd was mostly college aged kids doesn't matter to me as I am 29 and look 18. We danced a few hours had couple more drinks at their OTHER bar( I believe there are only 2 downstairs), there were 2 bartenders a male and female and both of them acknowledged their customers, then went to another casino to gamble bc it was ghost town at Ceasars.
I did call the manager who said he would speak to that particular bartender. Thank you but i WILL NOT RETURN, no reason to. It's AC! Â there are much better, bigger, and respectable places to go. Dusk, Please learn how to hire staff that know treat customers.
Picking a club for a night in Atlantic City can be kind of hard. You have tons of people telling you to go here and there and no, my club is better, and no, that club sucks, and no, you girls should go to the strip club instead* etc. A girl can get awfully confused!
I think Dusk was a solid choice for the clubbing scene. I might be slightly biased having met the manager for the club earlier in the day (meaning we were able to get in for free and have a few rounds of comped drinks which is always helpful) but we truly had a thumping good time inside.
There were some really great DJs working those turntables. My girlfriends and I had a blast just shaking our tail feathers on the stages in front of the fist pumping crowd. *cue smog and strobe lights* They also had some stripper poles for the girls to dance with which is always fun to watch.... Always.
Located within the Caesar's casino, it can be a little difficult to find through the maze of slot machines and table games so just ask someone who works there to point you in the right direction. Although on the small side (well anything compared to a Vegas club is small), Dusk didn't make it unbearably crowded which was much appreciated. I hate feeling like I have to swim through a crowd of people... especially in Jersey. Who knows what you might catch.
Overall, I had a fun filled evening here at Dusk. It was my first clubbing experience in AC and would definitely come back here again if I'm crazy enough to come back at all.
*Our cab driver on the way to dinner at Dock's actually told us to go to a strip club. Ummmmm do we look like 20 year old frat boys?! This ain't amateur night!
I haven't been to very many AC clubs, and the ones I have been to have been in casino's. With that said, I was feeling BOLD one Tuesday afternoon so me and my homegirl hopped into her car and made the 2hr jet to AC......thats right, I said TUESDAY!!!!
I can't speak for any other night of the week, but this one was poppin (lots of spring breakers though).
DJ DIRECT was spinning. He was great. He mixed it up well, played the new ish, and took me back a couple times. Yes, there were a couple times where I just couldn't make myself bop along, but with that said, I still wasn't ready to leave at 3am.
I can't speak for the drinks b/c I didn't partake (had to be to work on Wednesday ;) )
Overall a good spot. Especially if you're staying in the hotel (little tip: when you check in, ask if they have any comps for you for the club), it  didn't work for us ($10 each) but I feel like if it were a regular night, you'd get hooked up.
We got on a list to receive $5 cover before 11, and that's the best they could do for a group of 4 girls. Dusk has an upstairs and downstairs portion, and the club part was downstairs. It looked like any other nightclub, and was set up in a circle, with the bars on the outside and dancing in the middle. It was fun at first but after about an hour got SO crowded which ruined it for me. Also ran into some pretty unpleasant people, but I guess that's just AC.
Review Source:Sad to say I will never return to Dusk. I was having a good night until a guy (who claimed he was a bus boy) tried to steal my purse (Luckily I was able to chase him and snatch it back). When I tried to explain what happened to the bouncers, I was literally pushed out of the club by a 200+ pound bouncer and called an f'ing liar. Ladies, hold on tight to your purses or it might get snatched up by this "klepto" bus boy. The club owners/managers did nothing to try to find this guy and were EXTREMELY rude to me and my group of friends. I'm sure this guy is still roaming the club waiting to find another purse to steal. I've never been so disrespected and disgusted in my life. DO NOT go to this club!
Review Source:My party met early at 1030 pm as we were on the guest list. Being on the list kept the door fee and long ass line down. So if you are planning to go, get yourself placed on the list and organize your table at the same time. Otherwise you are f'd. The interior is beautiful, was packed for a Tuesday with extremely young types. Sticky floors and floppy elbows are the only downfalls. Oh, and a huge one!!! Falling up the steps not once but twice and then down it once without injury (thank G*d) FML!!!
Review Source:Dusk really surprised me because it was a really good time. Â For the past few years, I have been quite loyal to Borgata's clubs (Mixx & Mur.Mur) when I am visiting AC, but my friends suggested trying elsewhere in AC so we did. Â We were on a guest list so we only had to pay a $5 cover. Â Arrived early and it looked really quiet, but then quickly filled up. Â There are elevated floors everywhere plus some random stripper poles on the dance floor too. Â If you're feelin' frisky or just want to show off your dance moves, step up. Â
Drinks - Muyyy expensive alert! Â A small bottle of Fiji cost me $6. Â Looks like they were trying to make their $$$ back on the extra admissions they did not get to charge me. Â I deducted a star b/c the whackkk bartender would not make me a mojito.
Not impressed with Dusk. Maybe it was just bad night, but $25/$20 for cover and then $7 Bud Lights and $10 mixed drinks is just way too much for this place. Walking around I had to stop several times to put my show back on because the floor was so sticky it would take it clean off. And when I wasn't walking on the sticky hardwood the carpeted areas felt like you were walking through a swamp.
As others have pointed out, the crowd was not a Jersey Shore crowd, but it was not anything special. The music however was pretty good, which redeemed the experience a bit. Overall, I would not go back unless there was no cover, I'd rather go to 21 bar or Wild Wild West which have no cover and cheap drinks with just as good of an atmosphere.
Also, I tried to make a reservation for a birthday party and I never heard back. Not even an email or message to say they were booked or not accepting reservations, just nothing.
$6.50 bottled beers in a club-like bar that overlooks the nicer table games. Â Right off the club entrance you have a fun view of all the club goers in their Jwow minis that fit them worse than Deana's outfits do. Â Yuck! Â Anyways, a fun stop for one or 2. Â Not a destination spot by any means. Â No real entertainment here other than people watching and at near $7 a pop for a bottled beer, there are too many other cheaper options around.
Review Source:I pretty much make a party wherever I go so Dusk gets 3 stars -
1 for the fact that I did not pay the 20.00 cover
1 for the DJ who played a great mix of house
1 for the ciroc peach being available at the bar (and the very friendly bartenders)
We had our own dance party and I managed not to fall...
I do prefer other clubs in AC and had never partied at Caesars before if I was going to be with a group of fun people who didn't want to leave the hotel id probably go back again
Usually clubbing in AC involves avoiding the stereo-typical NJ tool wearing affliction and poorly-stitched jeans, while listening to mediocre house music. Dusk is completely different and is definitely one of the better clubs I have ever been to. As you walk down the long staircase, you enter a round club which has bars on each side of the room.
The dancer floor is in the middle, with tables around that and then the walking area and bar area around that. Stripper poles are a plenty. You will definitely see drunken girls falling off the poles every 3 minutes. The music was a nice mix of top 40, house music, and a bunch of remixes. The lighting effects were really good too, making the dance floor just dim enough to see what's going on without drawing too much attention to any particular person. It gets pretty hot in the club once it's at capacity so the cryogenic effects are a nice touch and make every one go crazy in the temporary smoke screen.
One of my only gripes is that the drinks are as expensive as Vegas clubs, but they do come in real glasses instead of plastic cups. Go to Dusk, you won't be disappointed, just bring your wallet.
A friend and I went here on a Friday night. Â We got to the club early because we were on the early guest list. Â There was no line so we paid the $5 and went in. Â No one was there yet so we left and played the slot machines. Â Waited until about 12:30am to go back in. Â I started to watch the crowed a little bit and notice that just about everyone knew each other. Â So I'm guessing this place is for the locals. Â We really didn't enjoy ourselves and people were staring. Â The bartender was rude... I wish I didn't tip him. Â Random guy invited my friend and I to his table and offered us drinks. Â It wasn't long before he asked us to leave because my friend told him she had no intentions of sleeping with him. Â That ended our night so we left the club lol
Nice bathrooms though!
I can't believe the DJ was Brody Jenner!!!!!
The music was awesome! I was with my 8 friends went to Atlantic City
to spend our weekend! We reserved a table on Saturday and got 2 bottles of vodka.
The servers cleaned our table very often and kept refilling
the juice (OJ, Cranberry juice, and pineapple juice)
and the ice cube!
They kept the area around the table very clean!!!!
The music was pretty good! It's not too crowded.
People there are very friendly. The lady's room was clean
! It's very different from the clubs in Nyc.
We party from 11pm to 2 am. We really had a good time!
If you are looking for a club you can dance all night long!
Dusk is the best choice in Atlantic City!
The servers are so nice!!!!
If I'm going back to Atlantic City next time, definitely I'm gonna visit
Dusk again!!!!
It was EVERYTHING I thought a nightclub in AC would be...not cause it was great, not cause I got in for free (w/ military Id), not cause I watched mothers and maybe some grandmothers dance on the poles, not cause I saw some dude begging this girl that was attempting to ditch him becaus he was sloppy drunk, not cause all the bachelorettes where being "loose", not cause the drinks were awesome, not cause the general atmosphere was good, not cause the "big girl" lured 2 men over by being very "dance-fl-whore"-ish, not cause I watch a girl do a face-plant on her step down from the stage...okay...maybe it was because of all that...good times people-watching.
Review Source:It was everything I thought a club in AC would be. Â Awesome atmosphere, expensive drinks, loud music and tons of drunk dancy people. Â We went on last Friday 10 cover for girls, drinks were anywhere from 10-16 for the normal mixed drinks and around 8 for beers. Â
The DJ, however, wasn't so hot. Â It is pretty bad when as you are changing songs everyone in the club stops dancing cause they either have to change the beat of their dance completely or have no clue what is going on.
Please turn on your AC in this place...It smelled like funky sweat when I entered.
And single ladies, if you want to find a single man that night, Dusk is the place to go, since it is 95% men and the other percent, well, that was just me and my girlfriends...
Men smelled our musk from across the room and pounced! Â I had one guy dance with me and next some other guy grabbed me while I was dancing with the other guy and threw me in the air. Â They were fighting for me, too much to handle!
And it's small. Don't expect a pool party up in this place. Â We walked around literally in circles at least 4x.
Staying at the Ceaser's , you feel like you need to visit it's club so we did, been here a few times & so far no complaints. Â
the place is a nice size , the rounded area makes it look a bit different than most places so its good since u have space to move around. no hassle to get in , the decor is good. Â
what i liked best was the variety of music they played through out the night , we had a grea ttime ... considering there are not too many choices in AC this is not a bad choice, i will definately stop by any time i come back to AC.
Chose Dusk for my best friends bachelorette party and had a fantastic girls night out . We ordered a bottle of kettle for the 9 of us and the waitress brought us a free bottle of champagne . She brought us to a larger table by the stage though we were definitely not big spenders by the clubs standards . The music was a mix of house, hip hop and top 40s
and kept us all dancing till dawn . The design and the decor was nothing extraordinary but good music and service ranks high in my book . Overall a great night !
Ever want to rock inside a psychedelic donut? Now you can.
Usually, getting into a nightclub is as fun as a prostate exam. Luckily we got in without a hitch thanks to cooperative security staff. With a discount, cover isn't terrible ($10), and they'll swipe credit cards at the door. Wondering what to wear? Skip ghetto fab and put away your Crocs. Have a coat? Check it in the casino; there's no coat check in the club. Like stripper poles? There's a-plenty for the ladies.
As the party progressed, more and more of my friends succumbed to exhaustion, but that wasn't a big deal since more and more folks wandered in, probably drawn in by amplified Top 40. While the DJ's selection of dance music was hardly inspired, I was impressed by bartender Dan, who never lost track of our group, even after Dusk started to resemble a moshpit.
Ugh.
Really just another club. Nothing special about the decor, atmosphere or music. Way over-priced drinks. Really sticky floors. Actually being in there just reminded me of all the things I hate about clubbing.
The best thing I liked about this place was the women's restroom (it was clean, and kind of pretty).
i went to this place on a saturday night during labor day weekend. the place was packed. sean kingston was there that night so that might have been why. i really liked the decor. the music was on point that night (for me anyways) and as always, i had a great time with my friends. i heard the drinks were expensive, but i didnt buy my own so i can't exactly comment on that. Â the w's bathroom foyer have these big couches with tables that you could sit at, which my feet were thankful for. nice touch. i was happy to be able to sit without spending beaucoup money for the vip tables.
i really enjoyed this place for the first time. will be going back
While neat to check out, you'll probably have a better time elsewhere.
The layout of dusk is something like a gravitron converted into a club. While is looks cool, the frills fade pretty quickly. On the outside people stand awkwardly buying drinks and talking with their friends. The inner circle is to small for any sort of fun dancing.
The people inside are probably the biggest turn off. Expect to have drinks spilled on you, multiple times. Expect to watch MMA fights spring up between Guido's in the middle of that packed "dance floor". If your a guy expect to pay more for everything.
The last issue I have with dusk, of course, is the price. While it might be considered normal for a club. (20$) This is not Vegas, this is not NYC, and this is certainly not Ibiza. We're in AC and you can get into much better clubs then this for alot cheaper.
I found only one positive with dusk. The awesome music. When I went the DJ killed it. I sure this is not always the case.
In conclusion, when AC don't expect to pay more then you would at NYC. If you do, make sure your going to a club thats worth it.
Dusk is not worth it.
I heard a lot about Dusk for almost a full year before I decided to give it a try and I must say it was quite a disappointment. I was in AC one weekend a couple of months ago with a big group (about 12 total). Everything was going great. We had a huge suite, we were gambling, drinking, and having a great night.
Around 11:30 we headed down to Dusk. We were on the list so we didn't have to pay cover or wait in line....Oh wait, there was no line. It was still pretty early so we shrugged it off and headed inside. The place was DEAD! My group, in all honesty, made up about 50% of the crowd. Ok, no problem. Like I said, it's still early. Let's wait, have some fun, and see what happens.
12:00...no one. 12:30...still no one. 1:00.... dead. Dance floor....scarcely populated. Tuesdays might be there big night, but a Friday in May should not be this bad.
To top that off, the music sucked. DJ AM must have been turning in his grave. For all I know, they propped his dead body up behind a couple of turntables and let them play.
The final straw came when one girl in my group said it would be funny if I got up on one of the dancer poles they have there. Normally, I would not even try being a guy and understanding how bouncers generally respond to this type of thing. But, I figured, there was no one here, I was spending money in this place trying to make the most of the situation, I might as well have a laugh. Are they really going to get pissed at me with only two dozen people here? My group was single handedly keeping the place open that night. Sure enough, I get yanked down off the pole and reprimanded. They watched me like hawks the rest of the night. Fortunately, that wasn't that long because I bailed to play some tables and party in the suite.
Some pros: The place looks pretty cool, especially the bathrooms. It was probably the coolest bathroom I have ever seen. But, if that is your claim to fame as a nightclub, you're doing something wrong.
Maybe I should come back on a Tuesday. But, my experience was pretty awful.
Dusk is an upscale nightclub located on the ocean side of Caesars Palace. The upper level boasts 2 full bars, VIP sections, and a center stage dance floor with mini stages with poles for the women to go wild on. The lower level, known as Dawn, includes a smaller bar, reserved seating, and an entrance to the outdoor patio over looking the boardwalk.
It was my first night, but a common stomping ground for a few of my diva's. This was our 3rd club that night and I was expecting the entire crowd to be dressed to impressed, but a few out of place guests slipped by, probably to fill the club on a slow Friday night? The music was terrible, but drama queens claimed it's usually better, but still good enough to keep us their until 5am.
The drinks are right and run about $8-13 unless you go for some expensive bottle service. Boobs get in for $10 and balls have to pay double. Simply come in with several boobs and your balls get in for free. Implants anyone?
I Love Dusk! This is the first place that my girlfriends and I go to when we are in Atlantic City. The Dance Floor lay out is really spacious and the music is amazing. They frequently have special guest DJ's like Tina T and Jesus Luz which always draws a big crowd.
The wait to get in isn't too bad if you go before midnight and the bouncers are nice. You can even get in for free if you sign up to be on their guest list for whatever night you intend on going....but free entrance means you need to get there before 11pm. Of course its not too busy at that time but believe me it fills up fast.
Overall a great atmosphere with great music! and surprisingly not too many creepers, so if you want a night out with your girlfriend's...you can enjoy yourselves to the max!
Well, it's places like this that make me glad I try and wait till at least my second visit before reviewing clubs/bars. Any place can have a bad night, and the first time I went to Dusk (a few months ago), it seemed to be exactly that. I was able to get comped admission before 11pm by signing up for the guestlist on the Dusk website. Knowing that NYC places regularly offer this (and then hold the line up until 11:01 PM), we decided to get there pretty early. Â We indeed got there before 11, got in free, but the inside - while nice - was completely empty.
Fast forward to our most recent trip to AC. Again, the gf and I signed up for comped admission on their website. This time, there was a private party going on inside, and we were told to come back after 11 pm (but were told we'd get comped regardless).
We came back, and the line wasn't too bad. As promised, we got in for free. Inside, the place is 3 levels. The top floor (where you walk in) is really only where the cashier is. The main floor is one level down. The setup is a donut type layout, with a series of bars on the outer edge, VIP tables a bit farther in, and a dance floor in the middle of the donut.
While I'm partial to Harrah's Pool After Dark, I had to admit that the sound system and the lighting system was pretty good at Dusk. The DJ spun a good mix of techno and rap, although at times it seemed more techno, which I didn't mind.
The night I went (midweek) had unadvertised drink specials ($5 Absolut mixed drinks), which the bartender luckily informed me about. Good, if sparse, crowd, and it seemed like people were just out to have fun (as opposed to starting fights).
There is also a small section downstairs, with access to the boardwalk / smoking area  outside, as well as a small bar; good to know in case the upstairs bar gets too packed.
I've never gone on a weekend, so I'm not sure if the comped admission will hold true on a Sat night as it did on a Tues night...but if so, then Dusk is a great nightlife option in AC
As an added tip: if you didn't pregame in the room (or if you didn't pregame enough), the club is about a 4 min walk to Bally's / Wild Wild West mountain bar. The bar has 24/7 happy hour, with selected $2 drafts and $3 drinks / shots. Just make sure to get your hand stamped before leaving so you can come back in.
Pros:
Free admission by visiting the Dusk website and signing up for the guestlist
Layout makes it easy to walk around
good light system
Cons:
Might be hit or miss depending on the night
The people do come here all dressed-up. There are quite a few people here looking to be seen, I suppose. It can be very good music or very bad, depending on the night.
The cover at the front is a pain, but could be worse. The club also has bottle service and games up front if you're waiting to get in to the club.
A few floors inside and different bars to relax at inside. Come for the eye candy, but be prepared to drop some money if you aren't a bunch of pretty girls.
If I could rate this zero, I would!!!!
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE HOSTESS NAMED SARA LOUI!!!
We got a table at the club, Sara decided to serve us a more expensive bottle even when we didn't ask for it. That was just the beginning. We let that one slide. Hardly anyone was at the club.
The worst part is that Sara decided to tip herself again on our card. Forging our signature after we left her cash tip. We plan to report this to the BBB and possibly file a law suit against the owners.
DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!
We headed to Dusk at Caesars in Atlantic City last Friday night after going to the club at The Chelsea to find that NO ONE was there. There wasn't a line at Dusk, so we were hesitant to pay the $20 cover. My friend talked the manager into letting two of us in for free and only making one of us pay (totally awesome). Once we were inside, it wasn't PACKED, but there was a decent crowd on the dance floor and some more hanging out at tables around the club.
The club has different floors, one of them being downstairs with an outdoor patio right on the boardwalk. The bartenders were great, even though the drinks were pretty pricey. The DJ was good too. I will definitely head back to Dusk next time I'm in AC.
