Was a little surprised with this joint. Â Pretty cool interiors but one would think they would serve some killer margaritas, micheladas and at least have some chips & salsa on the bar....but it is far from "El". Â You can order some chips and guac but they are not worth it. Â Some basic snack bar food but I guess you can also order from the pizza place next door. Â
But never the less still a cool dive bar. Â Strange that it has a doorman. Â But they must get some transient traffic from the area as I know there are always panhandlers in the parking lot of this strip mall.
A little pricey on the drinks but the bartender was friendly and the drink wasn't bad. Â Mixed crowd of studio workers and hipsters. Â Eclectic music. Â Tight parking lot shared by the other tenants so you might need to park on the street but it is well lit.
Was very quiet and mellow hang out place. Â Good for a drink not sure if it gets any busier. Â Just stopped in for a quick drink after work to destress. Â Perfect for that.
Welcomed by a Doorman smoking a cigarette, and a crappy neon sign outside. Well at least the drinks will be cheap, I thought. We enter to a very dark room with a Matador theme and fun mixology cocktail list. Cute actually. The $10 cocktail I ordered pretty much just tasted of gin though, and my friend's vodka mojito (also off of the menu) was overly sweet. This place seems to be having an identity crisis.
