I've never had food that was so breathtakingly beautiful in plating  and in taste!  We ordered nachos for an appetizer on a whim and they were wonderful. The chips were fried won ton.  They were light and flavorful. Then my husband ordered the Steak Bomb.  Wow. It was like a Philly steak but HUGE and bursting with steak flavor. I ordered the Margherita Pizza. Mmmmmmmmm!  If I was not eating it, I was praising its fresh basil, tomatoes and crust.  I'm spoiled forever. Pizza will never be the same to me. Not to mention the home of the Shirley Temple for Shirley Temple, herself, after he movie debuts next door to the Egyptian Theatre. It opened 1 yr after the theatre opened. It was beautiful wood working and crescent booths - made me feel special!
Review Source:Very sad about this place. Â The atmosphere, the bar itself, was wonderful. Â Very old school. Â But the first impression (hostess) had no personality, actually seemed like she didn't want to be there. Â The server took forever to get to us when we first sat down. Â My chicken pot pie leaved little to be desired. Â I hate it when we have these iconic bars and restaurants in hollywood and they staff them with young people wearing short skirts and bad attitudes. Â Why not complete the whole picture with some serious serving staff dressed in period appropriate attire? Â I know its in the middle of the tourist traps, but really? Â Anyway, the only thing that made it a good experience was the company we were with. Â I would try it again, but probably just for a drink at the bar.
