Use to be better back in the day. This is a neighborhood restaurant where if they dont know you as a regular lets just say be he happy to have them server you. Â Food is in par with that of a greasy spoon type restaurant but has a better decor. Â Been there three times in the last month because my boys like it (gives you alot of food). One time got the veal was over cooked and greasy. Next time i got an omelet with toast the omelet looked like it was ready to give birth and the toast appeared to be buttered on both sides? Strange, I have definately had better and if my boys didn't like it then i probably wouldn't go there.
Review Source:My husband and I have lived around the corner from this restaurant for 3 and a half years and we had yet to try it. We enjoy driving past the restaurant and reading the menu board to each other over the phone since their 3 specials always seem to be so hilariously incompatible with each other (for example - Chicken Teriyaki, Stuffed Cabbage, Pork Fajitas). OK, maybe we're the only ones that find this hilarious. But all of that menu reading made us eventually want to try the place.
We ended up going for breakfast on Friday and it was good. The bread basket they bring before the meal was some tasty bread. I got the egg white veggie omelette. It was good, not great, a little less flavor than I'm used to. I asked for a little bit of cheese and I got a lot of cheese, but that was easy enough to eat around. The fresh fruit I got on the side was actually a better variety than I expected - probably a good 6 different types. My husband got a pineapple filled with chicken salad. His brunch was much better than mine, it was a half pineapple cut up with this really awesome chicken salad inside. I don't even like chicken salad and I could've eaten it all.
The waitress was nice, nothing special bad or good about the service.
Overall, I'd say most everything was right in the average category except the delicious chicken salad in the pineapple. So order that one. Maybe it'll be on special with spaghetti bolognese and samosas next week.
