Banda Nawaz

Unfortunately this place has been closed for over a year.

But the original Banda Nawaz restaurant, which is located at the fringe of Oakbrook..at Oakbrook Terrace, IL is still open.

Banda Nawaz is the type of place you look at and wonder if it is even open. The place is tucked away off Boughton Rd across the street from Portillos. Beyond being a little difficult to find and having very modest decor, make no mistake

THIS PLACE IS A GEM!!!

I have lived in major cities around the country, eating Indian food in 5 star establishments and complete hole in the wall. Banda Nawaz ranks as some of the best Indian cuisine I have ever had.

Now if you don't want to take a San Franciscan suburbanite's opinion, take my Indian born co-woker's word - he said that (this true), "Even in back in India this food would be considered as top notch."

Now for the kicker, the prices are also extremely low. For a large homemade Naan, rice, main course and a drink $4.99

Please go give these guys business, because if they leave Bolingbrook will take a huge loss.

(update 2.0: So yeah, you didn't listen... you didn't go... they left... Now I'm sad, mad and hungry as hell for some good Indian food. You better have some suggestions people... grumble, grumble, grumble...)
