HAHAHAHA I can't believe to good reviews on this place! Â Are you all drunk LOL?! Â In all seriousness this food is a drunk man or woman's paradise, but during the day when you are sober it is just garbage!
The meat is the worst feature, bland, dry, tasteless garbage. Â Someone said best place to get Mexican food, WHAT!? Â The Mexican place by Food 4 Less is 20 times better! Â This place has very generic garbage food and is so not worth the money unless you are hammered. Â And you know what if you are hammered, there is a Taco Bell right up to street. Â Taco Bell is waaaaayyy better than this garbage! Â
Did you all know that about 10-15 years ago they were busted for serving dog meat? Â I know because I worked next door to them at Marchellonis when it was still open. Â No this is not a rumor it is fact, what else can you expect from the Mcdonalds of "authentic" Mexican food. Â LOL this stuff I crap!
Holy VACA, Batman! Â This is the hot spot for family night on Fridays. Â Lots of Hispanic families in here. Â I sensed this was a good thing. Â I could not believe how busy this place was at 7:00 p.m.
I ordered a chicken chimichanga suiza and some chips with a side of guacamole. Â This was way too much food for one person, but I'm not complaining. Â I spent $12, and I ate more than 3/4 of the chimi and I have some chips and guacamole leftover. Â The chimichanga wasn't as crispy as I'd prefer, but I think it de-crisps a little when they melt the cheese. Â The guacamole was good, but not Chipotle good.
The to-go service was slow. Â If I wasn't as hungry as I was, feeling like my stomach was eating me from the inside out, I would've been a little more patient. Â
I noticed another customer being indecisive when ordering. Â I overhead the manager/owner tell her, "It's okay, if you don't like it, we will change it." Â A few minutes later, the guy went over to her table to ask how she liked her food. Â
Next time I'll try the horchata. Â What was I thinking?
I liked it! Â With respect to some of the previous reviews, I'm not sure how some found this to be expensive. Â My wife and I had a filling dinner for under $22. Â The ingredients tasted fresh. Â The meat was just fine. Â Not crazy seasoned and spicy, but good.
I liked my sopes very much. Â I was sad that I didn't see the hochota (sp ... rice water) dispenser (almost about to poke me in the eye), until after I filled my cup with soda. Â Extensive menu.
Great service!
No, we didn't order french fries. Â But, then why would someone go to a Mexican place and expect excellent french fries? Â McDonalds is across the parking lot. Â Go over there.
This was my first time here. Â We were probably the only patrons there, who spoke English as our first language - many Latin customers. Â I might be a bit simplistic in my view, but I take it to be a good sign.
Also had the bonus of watching soccer on two of the TVs in the restaurant.
