The pizza here is wonderful!!!!  It's close to NY style, but has it's own unique taste which will win you over.  Also, the Philly Chicken or Cheese steak subs are great.  If your in the area give this place a try.

Love this place. Great pizza, and the absolute best gyro around! Open most of the year too.

After spending most of the afternoon driving and just wanting a quick bite to eat, we were happy we came across this joint. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and who doesn't love free refills on any soiled beverage! The double cheeseburger and crab cake sandwich were winners in our book!

First of all when you are on a vacation and you try to eat at a local pizza place, you should lower your expectations. We ordered Veggie Pizza, Ziti and Marinara Sauce, Greek Salad, Garlic Bread, Crab cake sandwich and Baklava (I know weird combinations). I will say everything was to the par to feed a bunch of hungry people. The pizza crust was crisp, the way we like it and the marinara sauce was tangy. Salad was fresh and crisp. Baklava was a little cold from inside and did not taste fresh, so we could've dropped that. In all I don't think this place deserves such low rating just based on their ambiance.

We always enjoy stopping here during our visits to Chincoteague. Friendly service, tasty pizza - what more can you ask for?

Take the food to go if you don't want to sit in a less than exciting pizza place. Their layout is worse than Ledo's. I didn't even want to see what the bathroom looked like. Long story short, the veggie pizza was better than Ledo's. It was very good. The baked ziti and marinara sauce was so so. They could've kept the garlic bread and given me an extra side salad with my order because the garlic bread sucked and the salad didn't. They don't have Italian dressing and they advertise that they sell The Cheesecake Factory cheesecake slices if that matters to anyone. What? No Italian dressing? At a pizza place? Fine. They deliver. Order delivery. Don't even bother to go unless you want to walk over to the store next to it where you can talk with a very nice woman at the counter.

Mediocre food.  Staff was helpful therefore two stars instead of one.  Tried the spaghetti and meatballs and the corn chowder and both were below average.  The pizza was just ok.

First place we ate at on the island during this last trip.  First, let's talk about atmosphere.  The dining area is broken into 3 areas, so that's kinda weird.  The decor is dark with the cold floor tiles and old booth seats.  The booth closest to the ordering counter was being used for storage or something.  It would have been nice if people could have sat there instead of standing in the narrow walkway between the front area and back area.  Since you have to go back up front to fill up your own soda cup, having the area more congested makes it an accident waiting to happen.

We squeezed in around one of the small tables and waited for our food.  It didn't all come at once.  I only tried the cheese pizza, which I didn't really care for.  I thought that maybe they bought it from Sysco up on Route 13 because it reminded me of school cafeteria pizza.

I have a hard time comparing pizza places as I can find _something_ good about most any style of pizza, and this place didn't disappoint when we stopped here for dinner while spending a few days at chincoteague. We just had pizza and cheese breadsticks - it was somewhat similar to cafeteria pizza, but the ingredients seemed to be very good quality. If you are looking for NY style, you'll probably be disappointed, but for a general slice of pizza I think you can do much worse. It was good cold out of the fridge the next morning also.

Great and cheap way to buy your lunch on the way to the beach. I usually get the italian sub which is basically some cold meats with cheese and veggies. The italian pickled peppers make a nice touch. Don't have too high expectations and you will have an ok sub. Bread gets a bit soggy though....

40 min wait for 2 large (16", 8slice) cheese pizzas at $27 total
    Crust wasn't very tasty
This is the first pizza place I tried on the island and I'd buy from another if we do pizza again.

Dad ate the crab soup, said it was decent

Went with my family. We had the buffalo chicken bites, french fries, cream of crab soup, and a half cheese half veggie pizza.

To start off the chicken bites were little more than processed and formed chicken that was covered in hot sauce. Similar to the chicken nuggets at your local McDonald's.

The french fries were french fries, pretty hard to mess those up.

The cream of crab soup was O.K. there was real crab in it but the soup tasted like it had a bit of age to it and was not the best, considering the whole island sells itself on fresh seafood.

Lastly, the pizza which you would think would be their star item being a pizza shop and all. Well sorry folks but I would turn elsewhere for your pizza fix.

The cheese was solidified right out of the gate and the veggies were definitely not fresh.

All things considered, there are a multitude of places you can go that offer better (and cheaper) food than here. Save your cash and head to Woody's, its right across the street after all!

We were tired of seafood at the end of the week so we asked a local to recommend the best pizza on the island. She advised we go to Famous.

The people who work here seem to care about their job and are good at customer service even though the girl working this particular night was the only person working the counter.

I did order the seafood bisque and it was a bit salty but I thought that the price was fantastic and loved the fact they offered a Greek pizza. I ordered a small and couldn't eat it all.

Being that there aren't very many options on this island, I would still not go to this place again. The crust was dry and the price was 19.25 for a large specialty pizza. I am giving this pizza a 2 because chain pizza is better.

Arrived late and in the offseason on the island - so choices were scarce.  Famous did not disappoint.  I had the Italian sub- lots of meat, bread was very good.  Wife had the eggplant parm sub - very cheesy.  Fries were awesome.  Staff was super friendly.

This was by far the best pizza we had in Chincoteague. The crust was crispy, the ingredients fresh, and everything served quickly. The interior of the restaurant seemed a bit dodgy when we visited -- maybe it was the Ultimate Cage Fighting show on the TV that gave that impression -- though plenty of families we there, too. Definitely the best choice we found for pizza in the area.

Good for a quick bite. We all enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. Plus they had birch beer at the soda fountain. I'd go back.
