Farrell's Of Brooklyn

Great neighborhood bar to watch games and grab a drink. Fun, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and really good food. It's not fancy food (typical bar/pub menu) but everything we've ever ordered has been really good. We order take out all the time and that's also very good. Really really good buffalo wings so if you're a wings person you should try them here. The only con would that there's  not too many beers on tap.

First time here for a friend's 40th party. Had a great time with friends, not sure if I would frequent this on my own. Crowd was good for a Saturday night and the Bartender took care of all of us. Didn't try the food but what I did see looked pretty good. Good Guinness, location was MFN but what else is there in west islip?

This place was on Higbie Lane in West Islip and was surrounded by next to nothing. The thing about Islip is that there is no nightlife, so when you go out to Farrell's, you're staying at Farrell's. It's a free standing building which basically looks like it doesn't belong there. However, their older crowd was loving it, so good for them. The second I walked in I really couldn't wait to leave because it was a relatively small bar, and the music you could hear from across the street, in your car, with the windows closed, and your own music blasting.
So, why two stars? Stella and Blue Moon on draft, and I'm sure if there wasn't the loudest band in creation there, I would have liked it more. Plus, they do have a Taco Tuesday which I still need to try out. Perhaps a few more stars if I give it another chance.
