Great neighborhood bar to watch games and grab a drink. Fun, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and really good food. It's not fancy food (typical bar/pub menu) but everything we've ever ordered has been really good. We order take out all the time and that's also very good. Really really good buffalo wings so if you're a wings person you should try them here. The only con would that there's  not too many beers on tap.
Review Source:First time here for a friend's 40th party. Had a great time with friends, not sure if I would frequent this on my own. Crowd was good for a Saturday night and the Bartender took care of all of us. Didn't try the food but what I did see looked pretty good. Good Guinness, location was MFN but what else is there in west islip?
Review Source:This place was on Higbie Lane in West Islip and was surrounded by next to nothing. The thing about Islip is that there is no nightlife, so when you go out to Farrell's, you're staying at Farrell's. It's a free standing building which basically looks like it doesn't belong there. However, their older crowd was loving it, so good for them. The second I walked in I really couldn't wait to leave because it was a relatively small bar, and the music you could hear from across the street, in your car, with the windows closed, and your own music blasting.
So, why two stars? Stella and Blue Moon on draft, and I'm sure if there wasn't the loudest band in creation there, I would have liked it more. Plus, they do have a Taco Tuesday which I still need to try out. Perhaps a few more stars if I give it another chance.
Been here a few times and always a nice crowd, little bit older crowd, twice i was here on Saturday nights, with good bands with no cover charge. Decent prices, decent food, cold beer with an occasional buy-back, guy bartenders ok but prefer a pretty lady behind the bar at times. Great spot to watch sports on ample amount and sizes of HDTV's. Outdoor patio for all you smokers. An all around decent local bar to hang out in, i will be back!
Review Source:Walked in the door with my wife & a buddy, for a casual bite to eat & a couple of beers. The place was practically empty. The big guy behind the bar just gave us a icy indifferent glare. We seated ourselves and waited for someone to acknowledge our presence. After about 5min, the guy behind the bar yelled over "You guys want menus" he then layed them down on the bar. As for us to walk up and fetch them ourselves from the other side of the restaurant. I walked over and picked them up and brang them back to our table. After perusing the filthy laminated menus for about a min. We all just kinda looked at each other, like why are we here? With that we got up and walked out the same as we entered, with no acknowledgement. Met some buddies up there for drinks since. Cold staff, warm beer & dirty glasses in a loud salty environment. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I'm into a little saltiness. But, theres alotta better places even for that.
