Came in tonight with the boyfriend for dinner. We had a reservation for 7 and when we arrived it was PACKED. The hostess sat us in the "back room" which was actually just a tent with a space heater. When the waitress came out (30 min later) she asked if we wanted to move inside. After that, the night was wonderful! Our waitress was extremely accommodating and helpful and gave us soup and dessert on the house because of the wait. The shrimp scampi was delicious and the portions were HUGE! Will definitely be coming back!
Review Source:Wow! All I can say is wow at how great this place was. I took my girlfriend here for dinner and we were just sorry we didn't know about this place sooner. I had an 8:30PM reservation and the place was still packed and still people waiting behind us.
The atmosphere is just what I wanted for a date night, small, cozy with paintings on the walls. The dress was on the nicer side of casual, I got away with jeans and a nice blazer. It was a little cramped but I'd expect that in any small cafe. I guess it may be louder than most people would like but having grown up in an Italian family, I'm used to people shouting over a meal :-).
It doesn't get any better than a BYOB. A couple cheap bottles of wine and they'll open it and keep them chilled on ice for free. The waitress even kept us topped off all night. The food was spectacular. The meats in the Antipasto were plentiful and flavorful. The Lobster Bisque was better than anything the "Soup Nazi" could've made. It also made for a nice dipping sauce for the bread. The gf had the lobster ravioli ($14) which tasted extremely fresh. Huge chunks of lobster plus the vodka sauce was filled with lump crab meat. I had the Gnocchi Fellini ($11) which is usually hit or miss at any other restaurant whether the gnocchi is too soft and mushy. Not here. They were perfect and the combination of artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil pesto was just an explosion of flavor. Both of us only finished half of our dishes which was great because it made for a second meal and a DELICIOUS lunch the next day. Â Desert was also on par, three Cannoli and some Tiramisu was a great finish to the meal.
The only [slight] complaint was waitress. She wasn't a problem at all, in fact she seemed very nice but she really didn't talk much to us except to take our orders. Maybe she just didn't want to be interrupting us while we were talking but it really didn't affect our night.
I can't wait to go back here with a group, I'll definitely be taking everyone I know!
