This place is truly a disgrace and really has no place amongst other Media restaurants. Â The food is ok at best. Â The burrito was totally bone dry, their salsa is quite tasteless but spicy, their guacamole is not spicy at all, and the fajitas do not come with lettuce, tomatoes or cheese. Â
We called ahead of time and they told us that we do not need to have reservations. Â When we came they told us they were super full because of reservations! Are you serious!?! Â But that was a lie because we could be seated right away and there was never a time when we did not see an empty table around us, rightly so because this place should always be empty.
Service is nothing to write home about, we had to ask the waitress 2 x for everything and they will gladly let you sit there with empty water glasses for a long time, but the girl seemed to be a bit overworked and she tried to be nice. Â The worst was when a person from our party ordered a mojito. Â It took a long time to arrive and arrived after a reminder and well after we had finished our food. Â
The mojito was disgusting. Â We all tried it (5 of us) and we all agreed it was terrible. Â The thing had no sugar in it! Â We didn't even return it just asked that sugar be added. Â Not only did they not add sugar but a bartender or someone came out to reprimand us and tell us we were fools. Â We thought he came out to apologize for not putting any sugar into but instead he says that this is how it is made and that he wants Americans to stop drinking sugar (yeah good luck with that). Â He claimed there was sugar there, and when I asked him what kind he went off on a tangent "educating" me about refined and non-refined sugar (yes I know these things) and telling me that nowhere in the US, would I find a mojito with raw sugar, which is BS. Â Our friends were from Europe, but I'm American and have been living in America for most of my life and some idiot has taken it up to educate me about America, well congratulations, it was reflected in your tip, and it is guaranteed that you won't have us as return customers. Â We're local, and go to Media to eat often.
Rude host and hostess. Â They save the more comfortable tables for favorite customers. Â We had a reservation and were seated in the back room near the bathroom. Â When we requested to sit in a booth, we were told that it was reserved for parties of 3 or more. Â When we left , there were empty booths, as well as parties of 2 seated. Â The food was sub-par, but the waitress was super nice and attentive.
Review Source:I have been here 4-5 times since they opened. Â Service is really hit or miss. Â Prices are way too steep for some of the standards like tacos and burritos. Â I ordered the tacos with grilled vegetable last time I saw there and was shocked by how pitiful the veggies included were- seriously for over 9 dollars for 2 tacos I expect a little more than 5-6 pieces of pepper and some raw onion. Â The veggies also had carrot chunks and celery in it- not want you would expect/ want in your veggie tacos. Â I've also had the tofu in the past. Â They do very little to season it- so you're stuck with bland overpriced, barely cooked tofu. Â I give them kudos for trying to be veg friendly, but it's not that hard to do it a little better. Â The nachos we had as an appetizer were good and worth the money. Â
Overall, I would say it's good for appetizers and drinks but skip the overpriced main dishes.
