Capriotti's finally made it to eastern Delaware County. Â This chain, which began in the Wilmington area in the 70s is a Delaware Valley favorite which has taken some time to infiltrate DelCo. Â Now there are several here.
We shared a Bobbie - Thanksgiving on a roll - homemade roast turkey, classic stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo, and a Capastrami- a hot pastrami with Swiss cheese, cole slaw, and Russian dressing on a roll. Â Both were made to order. Â The 12 inch sandwiches and a soda were $21. Â There was enough to take a bit home for a late night snack.
The place was empty but filled up at 6 with people waiting for take out orders. Â It's not the most inviting eat in place (in fact most of the Capriotti's have very little eat in , if any eat in seating).
It's clean enough but nothing that you would linger for. Â Great specialty sandwiches served with chips (extra cost), Â no fries.
