I have been to this restaurant before. I think the prices are a little high .I ordered the special ,which was a filet with crab meat. It was good but was not worth 34.99. I think because they do not serve drinks they raise their prices to make up for it. The waiter I thought was a little rude . At the end of our meal which was around 8:30 and they are open until 10:00 pm he hands us the bill as i was figuring out the amount we each owed and the tip . He came over twice in a matter of minutes and proceeds to pat me on my back and say you are my last table. The place was still full of people. He wanted to get out of there fast! I did put a 20% tip in the bill . I really should have not done that! Will not go back!
Review Source:How I lived in Delco for 24 years without ever going to Cascata is quite a mystery to me. Â Much like other Yelpers noted, Cascata is a small, quiet BYOB, but don't let that deter you at all.
Having never been here, I wasn't aware that each entree has enough food to feed 2-3 people, so I decided that two appetizers was a must. Â We started with the bruschetta and pesce misto in white wine. Â The bruschetta was alright - my major complaint is that the bread they use is WAY too thick. Â The pesce misto was pretty basic, but had a good flavor. Â I would probably skip both of these (and appetizers altogether) in the future.
For dinner, the BF ordered the chicken capperi and I got the frutti di mare. Â Holy Jesus, these plates are huge! Â No lie, my entree came out in a casserole dish. Â I swear they must use a pound of pasta in every dish...not that I'm complaining or anything, I was just surprised. Â You get a considerable amount of food for $20-$25 here. Â The frutti di mare was pretty basic, but loaded with seafood, so I was a happy camper. Â I tried the chicken dish and it just wasn't my thing, but the boy really liked it (so much so that he ate 3/4 of it, which was almost sickening to watch).
We came, we ate, we rolled ourselves out of there and onto a couch where we both immediately fell into food comas. Â There's nothing really special about the food at Cascata, but if you're looking for a ton of okay food and the opportunity to BYOB, I'd recommend it.
