Nothing like being greeted with a sour-pussed female bartender barking, "What do you want?" on a Sunday at 6 p.m. when there is maybe 12 people in the joint. We had come to watch a band's acoustic set, but when they still hadn't started 45 minutes later, we quickly finished our beers in warm pint glasses and left. Living in the neighborhood, I'd like to give my business to a bar I feel welcomed in. This certainly ain't it.

Both times I've been in here, I've wondered where everyone is, and how the place stays open because It is always so dead. I'm told that the action kicks up late in the evening/early morning, but I've never stayed late enough to see it.

The food is typical pub grub that tastes like it came straight from the Costco freezer to the microwave to the table, but after enough adult beverages, it hits the spot and assists in preventing hangovers.

The service is just okay. When I was there last, it was difficult to get a beer because the bartender was too busy talking to her friends at the end of the bar to notice that her other customers (there were only about 15 people total) were thirsty.

Music is generally mediocre, but both times I've been two separate musicians have allowed us to get up there with them and sing just as badly as they do, so that's always a plus.

Ambiance is typical of a strip mall bar attempting to look like an Irish pub. Dark green walls, soccer club paraphernalia on the walls and wooden booths and bar are the decor mainstays.

It's fun for a few drinks and songs on the jukebox, but definitely isn't a spot to stay for an entire evening.
