The food is good with a good assortment of Irish classics.  It doesn't get too busy unless there is an event going on.

I found Flynn's looking for someplace new to eat and I definitely won't be going back. The first thing I noticed upon entering was that the place was absolutely FILTHY. Dirty old curtains and dusty fake flowers on the table.. it reminded me of an elderly person's house that has that sort of grime film over everything since they can no longer clean properly. I would have left if I weren't with other hungry people. The food was better than I expected it to be after that first impression but still just okay.

Although our waitress was very friendly and fast, it's safe to say that I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent pub that is walking distance from the train station. Had the fish & chips, some of the wings, pint of Guiness and Harp. Food is fresh and the prices were very reasonable considering the changes Rahway is going through to becoming a big transit village. Service was also friendly and very helpful. After Mannions in Somerville, this is def one of the top pubs in Jersey. Only downside; No Kilkenny Beer.

Came here after doing a search for bars in our area on Yelp.  No drink specials at happy hour and only one waitress/bartender working.  The service was good though.  Food was OK.  We had the fish and chips- 2 small pieces of fish and a small amount of fries.  Bacon wrapped shrimp app was decent and the Shepard's Pie was good enough. Beers were in the $5 range. This place is average.

I really want to like this place and have tried it several times for lunch and now dinner.  The server was overwhelmed by 2 tables, the kitchen was extremely slow (and that was for a sandwich and their signature dish ).  We had a reuben (very inadequate in portion - but tasty) and chicken murphy was more peppers and a nasty sauce than chicken (we could could the chunks!  Even the beer tasted old & flat.  A Hundred Thousand Goodbyes to Flynn's.

Ordered Chicken Murphy, Barely any Chicken, potatoes or onions...mostly sauce and peppers.  They brought it out when I was not even half way done with my salad. WTF its not like the place was mobbed and they wanted to hurry you out.  Firehouse had a great Chicken Murphy (more food for less $$ but they took it off the menu :-(

We really enjoyed the popcorn lobster appetizer and the cesar salad with grilled tuna - the seafood was very fresh tasting and everything was delicious.  We can't wait to go back and try the chocolate peanut butter cup dessert!

I actually don't go to Flynn's that often because I very rarely get a craving for Irish food, but every time that I go, I enjoy myself.  I really love the ambiance of the pub.  It's very nice, but also very casual.  The food has been a little hit-or-miss for me.  I tend to like their seafood dishes and desserts quite a bit, their chicken not so much.  I think they're also a little overpriced.  It's difficult to justify going here when the bar down the street (the Waiting Room) is also so delicious, but quite a bit cheaper.  It is nice, though, for a change of pace.

Decided to try out Flynn's for dinner and drinks on a Saturday night. It did not disappoint. My girlfriend and I ordered the Fish & Chips and Shepard's Pie respectively, with the Crab Bites as appetizers. Everything was fantastic, and reasonably priced. The ambiance was great as it was dimly lit and surprisingly quiet (perhaps a combination of a slow night and a late dinner), and the service was exceptional. Also, one of the few great places in NE NJ to properly enjoy a Guinness (as it's on a clean Nitrogen line and the bartender knew how to pour it). Flynn's made a great first impression, and we'll definitely be going back.

Hopped into Flynn's around 4pm on a Saturday. My party of three happened to be the only diners at the time, but when we were leaving an hour later, more and more people started streaming in.

Flynn's is a pretty simple place offering solid food at reasonable prices. The beer selection is on point and they seem to offer a wide array of mixed drink specials. It's a little mismatched, being in a very Irish-looking pub and being offered watermelon infused champagne, but I still appreciate the option to get a little fancy should I feel like it.

I got the burger that comes with ham on it. After cutting the burger in half, I was disappointed to see that the ham was a tiny little deli slice and the flavor was completely imperceptible. When the ham to burger ratio is so one-sided, there's no point in putting ham on it at all.

The fries were awesome and super crispy. I also liked that you could pick whatever side you wanted, from Caesar salad to sauteed mushrooms.

My girlfriend got the potato and cheese crusted cod and she was a big fan. She usually hates the way westerners prepare fish so to see her kill the whole thing was awesome.

We also ordered a side of wings with the hottest sauce they have and they were perfect.

If you're in the area and are looking for some simple, unpretentious food with very attentive service, come to Flynn's. Their drink selection is plentiful and there are plenty of options for everyone.

Great quiet place to dine. The music is fitting and the food is delicious. Tried the peppercorn burger with blue-cheese - fantastic. The shepherd's pie was also mouth-watering. They bring out a wonderful-tasting raisin bread that was very fresh. For dessert, try the mudslide. Nice experience overall.
