Decent bar but has great food. Â TVs are numerous and well placed above, includes a nice selection of drafts, and a good atmosphere. Â However the drinks are over priced especially for a neighborhood bar. Â additionally the parking lot is small and on a few occasions I had to walk a block or more. Â The best order is to the pie and pitcher special, the pizza is great and you get a better price on the beer. Â I usually try and stay away from the shots, too pricey and you get the little cups.
Review Source:I'm still smitten with the food here. Yesterday I stopped in and a friend of mine was there, ready with a pitcher of their delicious sangria. i don't know how they make it, but it's way stronger than any other sangria I've had before. In fact, I don't even care for sangria most of the time, because I felt like I was drinking juice. Linwood's still has a rich fruity flavor, but something about it....whoo boy.
Now the main event was the fish and chips I decided to snack on. I was so, so, so tempted to do my usual drunken clams, but I figured I'd be a grown up and try something different. Not. Disappointed. At. All. Well maybe, but only because I had eaten everything.
The fish was so friggin' thick and tender..just falling apart in my mouth. They were battered so lightly and and the texture was just mmmm....I'm basically salivating now. I could have eaten 10 pieces and still would go back for more. The tartar sauce was delish too, not sure if it's homemade or not, but either way pretty slamming. Â The chips that the fish came with were really good too, never tasted anything like them. Very crunchy with a very earthy taste. Muy bueno.
I'm so sold on the food at Linwood, I'd be devastated if the quality changed at all. Devastated.
