It's a bowling alley - anyone who expects more than that probably doesn't like bowling. The place is mildly clean with well-used equipment and mediocre service. Like I said, it's about what you expect.
As someone who bowls a lot, I prefer Pla Mor lanes (off Thompson). That's probably because I'm so used to it, but the layout is more enjoyable to me. And call me old fashioned, but I prefer bowling alleys that run on computers from the 80s; I don't need color screens and fancy graphics.
Overall, I really have nothing against Franklin Lanes, but there's also nothing bringing me back. If it was the closest alley to me, I'm sure I'd come here all the time. But there's certainly no reason to go out of my way for it.
I came here for my husband's work get-together, and was impressed by the clean, well maintained lanes, snack buffet and great service. They really worked hard to get our drink orders, clean and stay out of the way of the games. The pizza was alright- I liked the cheese, but not the meat pizzas so much. The nachos were tasty and the brownies were okay as well. In general, a great place for kids, families, groups of friends or co-workers to hang out. A little out of the way in Franklin, but still, one of the better bowling alleys I've been to in Nashville.
