Not a bad place if you know what to expect. This is your basic no frills neighborhood joint. Dark, dingy and dated but oddly comfy and familiar. The food was average.. nothing spectacular but decent. BF & I both had burgers and they were good. Fries were decent as well. In the end, decent value for the money.
Review Source:This place needs a total makeover. If your into dive bars than this is the spot for you. Staff is friendly bartenders are good. Burgers are charbroiled which i love but the portions are a little dainty for my liking. Food isn't bad but this place could be SO much more. Â Change your thinking change your menu change your bar= bigger crowds and more coin in your pocket. 3 other makeovers for bar/restaurants in Dumont in last 5 6 years have had great results maybe its time.
Review Source:Great jukebox, decent food, nice staff - friendly dive.
I wasn't sure what to make of the Frontier Room when I first walked in - it's definitely an old skool dive - dark, decorated with wagon wheel accents, old ephemera, trophies, etc. However, the menu was good and the beer was cold. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the selection on the jukebox - the bartender makes some of the cds himself taking the best of the best from his fav artists - so you'll find Elvis Costello, Jenny Lewis, Nick Lowe, Dar Williams, some British Invasion & 80's new wave compilations....oh, such good stuff! Â I am happy to have found this joint and my only regret is waiting until we finished our meals to check out the juke...next time I'm bringing more singles. p.s. They are also a 'packaged goods' store!
