Since there isn't a TGIF at C-38, but there is one at C-8, I'm assuming that it's a typo in the listing. Either way, this is a review for the one at C-8.
The service was way better than the service at the TGIFs in the other terminals (the 1-star is for the service!), but the food was just bad. The beer cheese sauce for the warm pretzels was actually good and tasty, but the pretzels themselves were so greasy I didn't even want to touch them. The pic on the menu makes it look like the pretzel sticks are baked, but they had obviously been fried. The house salad was okay, but for some reason took longer than the ribs the guy next to me ordered (at the same time). And oh the French onion soup, what an atrocity. There were a lot of things wrong with it, but mostly, did someone decide to dump a container of salt in the pot? I had to down water just to eat a few spoonfuls of it. I rarely like to waste food, but this meal was literally making me sick so I ended up paying and leaving about half of my food there. Bleh.
Last complaint: this TGIF menu has nearly no options for those who don't eat beef, pork or chicken.
Flew through DFW the day before yesterday. We had 45 minutes until boarding and were starving so we stopped at TGI Friday's and asked if we had time to eat. "Of course, most of the entrees come out within 15 minutes!" Â So, we decided to sit down. Â Our server came out to take our drink order and we gave him our food order as well to save time, me: standard cheeseburger/fries, my wife: veggie burger sweet potatoe fries. We never saw the server again! When we reached boarding time we flagged down another waiter and he sent "our" waiter out, who coincidentally arrived with our food. It was shriveled and cold. I was furious, but I kept my peace. I regret paying for it, but I did and we took it with us. It was a bad experience all the way around and I would not do it again. Should have went with the gut feeling and skipped it. Â At least at McDonalds we could have gotten a hot burger within 5 minutes and enjoyed our food without having to wait another 30 minutes beyond boarding until we reached altitude to eat.
