My boyfriend and I came to this location on a Saturday night for drinks and we were disappointed. Â It was after 11 and we decided to sit outside. Â There were maybe two other tables with people at them and no one ever came to ask us if we needed anything. Â We got our drinks at the bar when we got there and once we went outside not one server checked on us. Â We were there for 45 minutes and I really couldn't believe that we received no service. Â We finished our one drink and left. Â We would have probably ordered food if someone had come to check on us, but because they didn't I have no idea what the food is even like. Â The restaurant wasn't even that busy. Â I probably will not be going back.
Review Source:Boston's seems to be having an identity crisis. Â Yelp calls it Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar, as do half of the signs at the store. Â The other half say Boston's Gourmet Pizza. Â I think this means that they failed to be a pizza place and are trying a reboot as a sports bar. Â Whatever.
We asked to sit on the patio, and were pointed through the smoke-filled bar (yech!). Â The patio was lovely, but we had few choices of where to sit because three of the tables had not been bussed. Â About five minutes after seating ourselves, we were presented with water and a menu.
The husband had a pizza, which he pronounced a little better than average, but not special. Â I had the Mediterranean salad, which was good, though it had a little too much dressing and definitely too much bread. Â I would eat it again, but ask for half of the bread.
Service was spotty. Â My impression was that there were too few servers on the floor.
Boston's strikes me as a place that I would go again if I could not think of anything else, or had no other choice. Â But they're nothing special, and the competition down the road (Twin Peaks) wipes the floor with Boston's on the sports bar score.
