I always enjoyed this pub for their big, juicy sirloin burgers and every now and then the fantastic ribs. Â For years I overlooked the dingy decor and the funky smelling carpet, or I would simply order take-out back to my office. Â Recently they moved to a wannabe lounge opposite the original location losing parking in the process. Â They've also pared down the menu, Â eliminating the ribs, but the single thing that kept me coming back - the freshly ground, hand formed sirloin burgers - are gone having been replaced with pucks (possibly frozen). Â To top it off there is now a $1 per item takeout charge. Â Needless to say I don't go there anymore.
Review Source:Place has moved to across the street. It's now at 437 Main St. Old location is now closed. I went there as Groupon customer to Slate restaurant. After I heard that this place has replaced the slate place and they honor the Groupon, I made a visit. I was hoping for larger entries which they do not serve any more. So we ordered Onion Soup, Chili,  Jalapeno poppers, buffalo popcorn shrimp, ahi tuna and  durango chicken sandwich. Shrimp was okay, it had very strong chili powder and made me sneeze, poppers were okay (cheese was good), Chili was best thing I had that night, onion soup was okay, too. The bartender was also working as waiter and he took  away our appetizer of shrimp even it was not even finished. Ahi Tuna came out almost raw, well under cooked and we order them to take it back to cook little bit more,  when they came back, it was still uncooked in the center. (After much research I found that Ahi Tuna is supposed to be like this, so it's not their fault) Chicken sandwich was okay, chicken meat was very flat, bread was bigger than what was inside, but overall it had good BBQ taste with cheese. Price of items were decent, it was hard to use up $50 in coupon amount. They had 12 TV showing same football game and big project as well. There was more TV than number of groups of customer for Sunday night.
