Something has happened here, what used to be the best burger in town is now just a mushy mess on a bun,  as far as the drinks go , used to be a great mixed drink, now they are for sure watering  down the  vodka , what a big disappointment

Yay! As soon as we walked in I was reminded of the pubs in London that you could kind of take the whole family to with good food and they were just totally familiar. Sure there's people drinking but it's still a nice calm place to grab something to eat and watch a football game or the news and have some Jameson's. I had the Irish Guinness beef stew and loved it. It was cheap for a bowl, thin broth and a few nice size hunks of beef with tons of vegetables. Total meal. The little one had bangers and mash (also yummy), dad had fish and chips and said it was amazing and not greasy at all and mom had the roast turkey dinner (fresh turkey, can't beat it).

The service is great, the food is great and it's one of the only restaurants I've been to in Scarsdale that I haven't encountered locals complaining and going on about stuff. Everybody was just relaxed. It's not obnoxious and loud. I'll definitely be back to this little gem. Any place that has corned beef on the menu year round is on my favorites list.

10 years ago it was a good spot, but now it is worn. They had decent food and drink, and the bar is ok for a late night drink, but I would not eat there again as I saw mice 2 of the last 3 times I was there..

Drinks are reasonable. However there is one bartender who thinks she owns the joint. She has a very hostile demeanor and refuses to serve people after three drinks. Her name begins with and f and ends with an a. Aside from her, it isn't a bad place to grab a decently priced drink.

I came here with my siblings after taking a class at SoulCycle up the road. We arrived at 2:40 on a Sunday and were given the brunch menu (which is served until 3pm).  We asked if we could see the regular lunch menu and the waitress was kind enough to let us.

My siblings and I all ended up ordering the same thing - a salad topped with crab, turkey, and shrimp. It was pretty tasty, but I would have preferred some large shrimp (see photo) instead of the tiny ones that you see in shrimp salad at the deli.  It was kind of a turn off, but the crab made up for it. The cubed turkey meat was decent.

I wasn't amaaaazed by the salad, but it was fine. The coffee was actually pretty awesome. I'd imagine this place is better for it's pub food, so take my review with a grain of salt.

Pretty juicy burgers, and good fries too. My friend loves their beef stew although I've never had it. Great chicken pot pie, pretty reliable pub grub.

Nice local bar / restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. Food is decent irish pub grub. My particular favourites are the buffalo wings, meatball sliders and the burgers which are devine. Staff are efficient and friendly both in the bar and restaurant.
New owner has really made some nice changes from a couple of years back and I will not hesitate in calling here again.

Food is awful and the place needs a good cleaning.  Some of the staff have no business dealing with the public.  Really only good for a beer at best

I had a retirement party for my mom at the Garth Road Inn, and Sharon and her team made sure everything was terrific.  Sharon and I exchanged a few emails/calls and worked out a menu for the group (which was about 15 adults, 4 children).  All the food was great, the service was great, and everyone had a great time.  Sharon went above and beyond to make sure the day was memorable for my mom, and the guests.  I highly recommend the Garth Road Inn to anyone looking to have a small get-together, dinner, or just a beer.
Thanks again to Sharon and the team at the Garth Road Inn!

When the relatives have left, enjoy a a drink or two at the GRI on Christmas night.  Relax in the friendly atmosphere!

I live down the road from here and my wife and I generally visit a couple times a month. If you want a pub atmosphere where you can grab a few drinks and chat with family or friends over a bite to eat, it is ideal. The music never blares, seats are always plentiful and the bartenders are never too busy to take an order.

The atmosphere is so cozy; the food is good, not great, but it has improved under new ownership. The burgers, steaks, chops and sandwiches are all good. The french onion soup Is tremendous and the salads and specials are solid. If you have room, they also have a few good desserts.

All in all, a great spot to have in the neighborhood.

This place just sucks balls. I really hate this place, the food sucks hard. I had a burger and it was pretty bad. The cut of beef was poor not fresh at all. The wings sucked balls. If u want wings go to the best in town which is Chat. This place is only good to have a beer and that's it. Two fat thumbs down to the ground.

Sharon Crowley, the long time bartender and waitress, has just taken over ownership and has really cleaned the place up.  And I'm not just talking about a fresh paint job and steamed carpets.  The Garth Road Inn is brighter and more welcoming than ever.  Along with about 5 brand new flat panel televisions including the gem 65" across from the bar.  Really a great place to watch sports now!

The food has improved as well including multiple new menu items.  Always great steak, burgers and grilled chicken.  But the new nachos with chili and all the fixings are great too; get some barbecued chicken on it!  But the real gem of their new specials is their turkey meatball sliders!  Claiming to be homemade by Sharon herself with homemade marinara sauce on almost brioche-like buns; they are truly excellent and are flying out of the kitchen!

This is not a fancy dancy upscale restaurant or a world renowned steak house.  If you are looking for good solid food time in and time out, with affordable alcohol and a great pub atmosphere, this is the place for you.

I use to frequent the bar - it was small, always charming, and a great place to catch up with old friends and see some others whom you haven't seen in a while.

Drinks are aplenty, of course. However, I never really had the food until rather recently. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I've had the staples : Chicken pot pie (which was alright), the Chicken sandwich with bacon and bbq sauce (which was ginormous, and delicious), and a couple other brunch dishes. Everything was very good. Nothing overly spectacular, but nothing was bad.

Service is always nice there as well. I love the coziness of the bar, and the fact that the food doesn't suck is great as well. Food alone, I would give 3 stars, but overall it deserves a little more than that.

Bangers and mash, boy do I love me some bangers and mash.

Decent Irish grub.  Beer.  Middle-aged suburban crowd.

It's convenient if you live in walking distance to town which I do, and the bar has a few TVs so I do go here.  The place is dated and it has an old bar smell that is unpleasant, especially in the dining room.  The menu is a simple bar menu which is fine, except everything is frozen/processed and nothing is particulalry good.  The service is OK but nothing special.  For the price you can go to a decent restaurant and have food that is prepared for you to order with fresh ingredients.  This would be a perfect candidate for one of those restaurant makeover shows.

We've been going to the Garth Road Inn  for years. The food is tasty and predictable, burgers are cooked correctly, good "pub grub" and the specials are often very good. Friendly capable staff. never fluster or "in the weeds" when it gets busy. The bar is comfortable and welcoming.

Depressing small place filled with low life alcoholics who are in there everyday of the week. Dirty kitchen and food, kitchen has mice/rats and cockroach problem (just ask anyone who's a regular).  Very quiet and weird vibe in that place. *Warning to young men who might go in there , you may be stalked and hit on by older gay men who frequent the place.

I work around the corner form this store so i've eaten here quite a few times now. The food is good and the service is great.  The owner is Leslie and he's a great guy. This is a great place to stop in and have a beer and lunch at the bar.

This is a restaurant and bar and I only surveyed the bar portion of this joint. It's great with large windows, high top tables, booths and a good sized bar. It's a sweet spot with lovely decor and ample space.

I dropped in here on a week day night with a friend that lives in the area. It's cozy but not overly so with a nice crowd: the working stiffs, the young and the grandfatherly types. The bar food is typical (mostly of the pub variety) and good. There is a rather large and nice selection of liquor. Drink prices are average for the area and sizable.

The music selection was a bit iffy with old, popular 90s tunes. Then again, I came here on a Monday night. Nice place and I would like to come back sometime.
