George's Route 66 Bar & Grill

If you're like me, you love to see a good live rock show but you hate to have to look through the thick smoke to see the band you're hearing. This seems to be a problem for other people I know, too. But, if you're willing to deal with the fuzziness and the smell (oh, the day after!), Route 66 is a decent place to see a concert. The staff is friendly, the place has a real salt-of-the-earth feel (which I enjoy), and the other concert goers were actually nice (one even moved out of my way so I could see better). I didn't try the food here, honestly I'm not sure if they even serve it, but I would recommend this place to see a band, especially if it's a band you really like.

It was nice to experience something different, even if it's in a Tool - Undertow / Rage Against the Machine kind of way. The bands were talented. Not into the style of music, but still enjoyed it. The people and bartenders were very kind. Blue collar in their element, so judgmental pricks would probably be welcomed, but uncomfortable. Good prices. Diverse ages. 1 complaint: Smoke was thick.
