Went to FSFU on a week night. Heather was awesome. Specials went on for 5 minutes. Got the zarzuela, it was amazing. I wanted to lick the bowl. Blaster pie was out of this world with the mix of sweet and hot. Tried the Bitch Creek ESB, wicked awesome brew. All around loved the place. Like my best stoner friends basement. Will be back many more times.
Review Source:Fred's Six Foot Under is a new underground music club in the basement of the Iron Barley. They have touring acts and open mic nights. The night I went was open mic and the players were really good, everyone from your cute girl next door, Â to a construction worker were there to show off their talent.
The location is pretty intimate, to get in there you just walk behind the iron barley (preferably after downing an atomic elvis sammie) walk under some tents and down steep steps and there you are in what appears to be your best stoner friend's basement from highschool!
The ceiling is low, and the whole places is painted completely black, and neon writing shows up under black lights. The only drawback is that it is very very smoky down there, but I guess what would you expect from a brooding den of hopeful musicians?
The night I went the waitress from upstairs came down and let the bartender know that it was my friend's birthday, and he offered us a shot, so by that account the staff is friendly enough for me!
I haven't been back since, but it would make a great date location if you're with someone who appreciates raw talent and singer songwriter music..
