Club Paladora. Â Don't let that name fool you. Â There is nothing club-y about this place. Â It's about as divey as a dive bar can be. Â The bar has been around for 70 years and the current owners have owned it for 13 of those. Â Shannon R and I just happened upon this bar since we got our nails did next door. Â If any of my Dallas peeps read this, this bar is like Ships or Winedale. Â I felt a little silly when I asked the bartender, Rosie, what import beers they had and was told, "honey, this is a neighborhood bar". Â I thought for sure she was going to judge me from that point on, but nope, she was the sweetest lady I've met in a while. Â The regulars were all very nice and when I mentioned my love for jagermeister three shots showed up. Â Hell yeahs. Â And PBR in can costs $1.75. Â I loved this bar and could have stayed here our entire vacation. Â It'll definitely be on my stops when I do come back to St. Louis.
Review Source:What a great neighborhood bar! Â We loved Rosie!
The clientele was fun and chatty and the jukebox was rolling out some good tunes thanks to Kristie A.
We stumbled on this place after getting our nails done next door and had to wait on a friend. Once they showed up we didn't want to leave.
Sometimes a neighborhood bar that's nice to new customers is hard to find. They really seemed to like having people in there that weren't locals and we did sorta stick out like a sore thumb as much as any Texans might, I guess.
