Kicker's Corner

So, my husband and i were told this is the bar to go to if we are in the city and want good food at a good price.
the breakfast is amazing and so is the chicken wings. the food has been fresh and timely.
However, the service was less than fantastic... (at night).
Not sure who the 'big' girl behind the bar is?- and she may be the server and or owner? but she has a big attitude problem as well.
On many occasions, we have been there when she is working and the bar is empty so one would assume she would pay extra attention to the few people in her bar. This is NOT the case though. She always appears to be in a negative mood and is complaining to (a friend?) at the bar...
She has never made us feel comfortable nor ever gave us her name and she has seen us more than one occasion.
We love the breakfast when Cindy is working so we assumed the night staff would be more inviting. ?!
At first it seemed odd to us the first night we went and the bar was empty.. However, upon our second and third etc time the bar remained empty and the larger sized girl with black hair has been the employee working. ...
I am hoping she is NOT the owner because she has very limited social skills and tends to be in a bad mood or complaining about working so much and/or complaining about other employees.
Needless to say,
As much as my husband and i love the food served after breakfast wr have decided to only frequent kickers during breakfast hours when we know that Cindy or the girl on Sunday is working..
It is unfortunate to have such a negative employee working night shifts especially when the bar appears to be empty.
Perhaps making her customers feel welcomed and not cleaning up and preparing to clean in order to close at 10pm.  (which made us feel uncomfortable because we had not received of wings yet)
... It is NO SURPRISE the place is empty the times we have been there when this girl is working....
good luck keeping customers with her attitude.

All everyone  has said is true. Best kept secret that I hope gets out. I like it so much I now bartend/wait one night a week just to be a part of it. Long before that I learned to try it out and eat here and the food is stellar. Have even made some new friends. LOVE IT. I say none of this because I work there one shift. I won't even mention the shift. Just check it out--you won't be disappointed.

Why is this place not packed all the time?

I have no friggin idea but they should be!

Great food & cheap prices.  This has become our go-to place for a late breakfast on Saturday or Sunday mornings.. You know those days- when you might need to recuperate a bit.. Kickers has exactly what you need!

The first time we went in we were greeted like old friends and I've met and talked with a few of the bartenders and the owner - nicest people ever!

Sooo.. anyway.. back to the food- they have a breakfast that has a ham steak that they've marinated in pineapple juice that is to die for.  Did I mention that it is about 1/2" thick and comes with eggs, toast and all the fixin's on a very large plate for right around $6.95 (give or take - can't quite remember but it was CHeeeeP).

Everything we've had there has been delicious and gigantic and cheap.

They have more specials than I can even being to list.  Daily specials and weekend specials.

Don't be scared off by the location - it's fine.... really it is.  Would I lie to you?
